There was a lot of trust between George and the sound team, in terms of what we were making for him. He never really micro-managed our artistic choices.
Wood stated the above, explaining how Lucas had a collaborative process and never interfered with how the sound department approached their work.

The sound editor explained that the level of trust Lucas had in his crew was extremely rare. Lucas simply gave the team notes about the story and did not influence their creative choices. As a result, Lucas knew how to get the best out of his crew, proving that Disney lost a gem when the filmmaker stepped away from the franchise.

Wood made the above statement, explaining that the overall experience he had making the movie was extremely memorable, primarily because of the collaborative creative process.
