The late actor and rapper DMX andSteven Seagalshared the screen in two action movies,Beyond the LawandExit Wounds, and the martial artist did not appear to have left a favorable impression on his co-star.

DMX opened up about Seagal’s intense behavior on the setin an interviewwhen the actor had trouble working with the 72-year-old actor. He revealed that theUnder Seigestar often deliberately hurt people on set during the filming.

“He hurt a few people on set purposely,”he said before adding,“It’s acting and we’re working together… I’m trusting you not to take advantage of the situation and vice versa.”

He also reflected on how Seagal, whoalmost had a $20 million fightwithJean-Claude Van Damme, pushed boundaries during action or fight scenes, as he recalled incidents where the actor purposely injured stunt performers.

Seagal’s rough treatment wasn’t limited to the stunt team. DMX also revealed that while filming a scene for the 2001 action movieExit Wounds,Seagal’s mishaps resulted in the rapper dislocating his shoulder, leaving him with a lasting impression of his co-star’s unpleasant antics.

Further into the conversation, DMX reflected on one of the fight sequences between his character Latrell Walker and Steven Seagal’s Detective Orin Boyd in the 2001 filmExit Wounds,revealing that his co-star’s antics during the scene left him with a dislocated shoulder.

One move where he has my arms behind my back and we both supposed to drop to the ground at the same time… On cue, I dropped and he stayed up, dislocated my shoulder.

However, theBeyond the Lawactor also revealed that Seagal himselfwas not immune to his anticsand ended up hurting himself as well. While he did not share the details of the incident, DMX said,

What goes around, comes around and he ended up hurting himself on the set and was out for two weeks.
