HBO head Casey Bloys’ recent remarks are certain to hype the anticipation for the upcoming DC TV series.The Batmanspin-off, following Colin Farrell’s character from the 2022 film Penguin is set to delve into the rise of the DC supervillain, Oswald Cobblepot, within Gotham City’s criminal underworld.

In a conversation withMovieZine, Colin Farrell shared an insight into the upcoming TV series. Sharing his experience filming the series, the actor said that he had fun working on the show. However, he also described it as a dark and heavy production while stating that it is extremely violent.
It’s dark; that’s what I can tell you about it. It’s really dark. It’s really heavy, I think— it certainly was doing it — It’s incredibly violent. It’s one man’s rise to what he’s always dreamed of inhabiting, which is a certain power or social status.

However, despite its violent nature, Farrell shared that he enjoyed and had a wonderful experience working on the series.“It was a long and really wonderful experience,”he said before adding,“I had an amazing time doing it.”
