The Dark Shadow is one of the strongest quirks in the series, as it can increase its strength with darkness and can even go toe-to-toe with some of the strongest villains inMy Hero Academia.
Although Tokoyami is a great character, manyMy Hero Academiafans believe that he has not received the importance and respect that he deserves. He has been ignored quite a few times, especially by his mentor Hawks, who trained him during the Hero Agency Internships and Hero Work Studies.

Hawks has always been an inspiration for Tokoyami. When he first learned that Hawks chose him for the Hero Agency internship, he was excited to train with the No. 2 Hero. However, the beginning of their professional relationship had a rocky start. Hawks was accustomed to working on his own, which frustrated Tokoyami.
