Behold, the Rubicon.Halohas long been viewed asMicrosoft’s golden child; their special little IP in the totes-epic console wars againstSony’s Playstation. Putting Halo on a Sony console would be like puttingSonicon a Nintend- …oh.
It’s been no secret that Halo’s golden edge has begun to fade. Halo Infinite - a game that in many ways is actually quite good now - didn’t launch that way. And that blunder hascertainly not been an isolated case.

In a move that feels both inevitable and unbelievable, Microsoft may soon be allowing Halo to appear on a Sony console.
This information comes to us throughGrunt.API- an unofficial source, but one that has found some very reliable leaks in the past. In short, they’ve made a very significant discovery: in the Halo retail API, there is evidence of a PlayStation 5 port of a currently-unknown Halo title.

Grunt.API clarifies that there is still no word on anythingNintendo Switch 2related - this is just Halo on PlayStation.
Halo Infinite’s New Explosive Weapon Leaves Fans Depressed
It’s a Fuel Rod Gun! But not really. But sort of? It’s complicated.
As for which game could be coming to PlayStation, the list of probable suspected is fairly short.

One fanjoked about Halo: Spartan Assaultgetting to pioneer this crossover - given that you probably didn’t even remember that game existed, it seems unlikely, but it would be supremely funny.
Is Halo Infinite Coming To PlayStation? Probably!
Top of the list of possible PlayStation ports is Halo’s current main title: Halo Infinite. As a larger live-service game and the main revenue stream for the Halo IP, all signs point to this as the likely port.
The only other real candidate is the Master Chief Collection - a whole pile of games from Halo: Combat Evolved though to Halo: 4. That game’s got a lot more content that’d be new to PlayStation fans, and tends to be viewed more favorably than Halo Infinite, but there may be concerns about selling old ports of decade-old titles as a first move.

Halo Infinite: How To Unlock Old Cosmetics
Halo Infinite has a wide array of cosmetics for players to unlock and purchase. Season 3 has made getting older cosmetics even easier!
Given how badly Halo Infinite needs a surge of positive first-impressions, on top of all the financial incentives for the project, a Halo Infinite PlayStation port would surprise absolutely nobody, but might go over pretty well anyway.

In the end, despite all the console warrin' and franchise favoritin', people just want good game fun times. And if that means spreading the Halo universe away from Xbox’s orbit, then that’s just what it’s gotta be. More fun for everyone.
And if you’re a PlayStation fan looking forward to a possible Halo Infinite port, you’ll be happy to learn that the game is free! Well, the multiplayer is, and that’s where you’ll be spending most of your time anyway. The game has a campaign too - a rather decent one - and that’s something you gotta buy.
Halo Infinite Review — Breaking Expectations
Halo Infinite is the biggest, boldest launch that the series has ever seen; and it’s exactly what the Xbox Series X needs.
