Goku has been winning one bout after another inDragon Ball DAIMA. In the latest episode titled ‘Tamagami,’ the chibi hero got into a battle with Tamagami 3 and defeated him with a superb combination of moves. But it turns out that Goku has already used this attack in an episode ofDragon Ball Z.

Goku Uses His Classic Elbow Smash inDragon Ball DAIMA
Episode 8 ofDragon Ball DAIMAsaw Goku challenging Tamagami 3 to a fight. The two appear to be evenly matched for some time, but the scales tip in Goku’s favor once he activates his Super Saiyan mode. Afterlanding a heavy Kamehameha, he immediately follows it up with an elbow smash attack, making Tamagami 3 surrender immediately.
Dragon Ball DAIMA Has Already Moved Past Goku’s Super Saiyan Transformation
Goku’s sleek elbow smash has caused an uproar amongDragon Ballfans, as this is not the first time that the move has been used. And fans are right; the Elbow Smash or Heavy Finish is a classicDragon Ballmove that has been used multiple times in the past. It is a heavy blow aimed at the opponent’s stomach, which can cause permanent damage or death.
The attack is so strong that it can leave the opponent writhing in pain or at least stunned. During this brief moment of inactivity, Goku finds a window to land further attacks. Although he didn’t have to follow up his elbow smash against Tamagami 3 with any other attack since the mecha surrendered soon after facing imminent death.

Goku has used his elbow in battles frequently in the past to defeat his opponents. But in more recent installations to the franchise, his ki blasts have gotten so strong that he rarely had to resort to usingphysical attacks and his martial art prowess.But in Dragon Ball DAIMA, Goku is in a chibi form, so he has to make do with limited resources.
Goku had previously used Elbow Smash in episode 66 ofDragon Ball Z,during the Namek Saga. When Goku reached Namek and saw the Ginyu Force overpowering Gohan, Krillin, and Vegeta, he confronted Recoome. But as soon as the brute charged towards Goku, he landed an elbow smash against Recoome’s stomach. This was followed by the villain’s grunts of pain and Goku ridiculing him for leaving himself wide open.

The calmness with which Goku slid forward and launched a brutal attack on Tamagami’s 3’s gut was a scene to remember. Dragon Ball DAIMA has finally ventured into some great battle scenes, and episode 8 proved that the series deserves the constant hype it has been getting.
