God Of War Ragnarokis filled with many secrets that the average player may have missed during their various playthroughs. While the main story is compelling, there are a series of favors and optional bosses that players can take on. Most bosses can be found in specific areas of the game’s world, likeGna, The Valkyrie Queen. However, there are a few obscure bosses that are tied to a mysterious item, theMystical Heirloom.

The Mystical Heirloom is a strange relic obtained in Midgard and its purpose is not inherently obvious. In-game, the Mystical Heirloom is described as an important item with no practical application in combat - a strange description for an item that can beequipped in your relic slot. However, it turns out that this object is not as useless as you may think, as it can be used toawaken a series of hidden bosseslocated throughout the world of God Of War Ragnarok. Here is everything you need to know.
Finding The Mystical Heirloom
Before you can find the Mystical Heirloom, you must first obtain theDraupnir Spearby completing theForging Destiny mission. The Draupnir Spear is required to gain access to the area in which the Mystical Heirloom resides. You will also need to complete the mission,World of Fate, to gain access to the Lake of Nine.TheMystical Heirloom is located southwest of Tyr’s Temple, justbehind a frozen wall of iceabove the path to The Lost Treasury.
Throw the Draupnir Spearinto the yellow wind fisher of the ice, beforedetonating it to destroy it. Doing so will grant you access to a small crevice. Here you will find theMystical Heirloom and a Lore Scroll beside a deceased Dwarf. Now that you have obtained the Mystical Heirloom, you can use it to awaken four Troll bosses - Blodugr Steinn, Bjarg Stormr, Golrab Of The Ashes, and Golrab Of The Frost. Defeating each Troll will award you with valuable loot, along withSlumber Stone(used to craft the Steinbjorn Armor Set) and a few other exclusive rewards.

Finding Blodugr Steinn
Blodugr Steinnis the first Troll and can be found near the location of the Mystical Heirloom - more specifically atThe Derelict Outpost in Midgard, west of The Lost Treasury. Journey the path to The Derelict Outpost until you find a climbable chain that grants you access to the ruins. You will also need to cross a gap with the Blades of Chaos, before taking out a group of Wisps in the area where Blodugr Steinn resides.
Once the Wisps have been taken care of, you are free to walk up the Troll statue.Equip the Mystic Heirloominto your runic slot andactivate it to awaken Blodugr Steinnfrom his slumber and begin the boss fight. Defeating Blodugr Steinn will award you Slumber Stone, along with thePoison Protector Enchantment(which increases resistance to Poison by 50%). The Poison Protector Enchantment will prove useful for fighting enemies like Seidr.

Finding Bjarg Stormr
The second Troll,Bjarg Stormr, can be found atThe Forbidden Sands in Alfheimafter clearing the sandstorm by freeing the Hafgufa. The specific location Bjarg Stromr resides is in anarena on the west side of The Forbidden Sands. Once you are within the Troll’s vicinity, activate the Mystical Heirloom to trigger a boss fight. Upon defeating Bjarg Stromr, you will be awarded Slumber Stone and theStone of Idol Souls Enchantment(grants Soulsteal after using a Healthstone or Ragestone).
Finding Golrab Of The Ashes & Golrab Of The Frost
The third and fourth Trolls are located atNoatun’s Garden in Vanaheim- more specifically near theNoatun’s Garden Boat Dock. Here you may encounter a series of enemies, but once you have cleared them out, you can set your sights on the two Troll statues guarding the arena of this area.
Once again, activate the Mystical Heirloom to awaken bothGolrab Of The Ashes And Golrab Of The Frost. Unlike the previous two Trolls, Golrab Of The Ashes and Golrab Of The Frost are imbued with elemental damage and resistance to each of their respective elements (Fire and Frost). Defeating both Trolls with award you with Slumber Stone and theMonstrous Stride Enchantment(charges Malestrom gauges, Immolation, and Permafrost when performing a last-second dodge).

That is all the hidden Troll locations in God Of War Ragnarok. However, there is one more boss that can be awakened with the Mystical Heirloom, and that is The Everlasting.
Finding The Everlasting
The Everlastingis a large stone dragon that resides atDragon Beach in Svartalfheim- more specifically near theBoat Dock above Nidavellir. Just like with the previous optional bosses, you canawaken The Everlasting by using the Mystical Heirloom. Once you have defeated The Everlasting, you will be awardedDragon Claws(used to craft the Dragon Scale Armor) and aShattered Rune.
