SeveralGenshin Impactplayers since the week of June 28 were wrongfully banned for a month, for “using third party software or plugins” - however, you might want to check if you can login again, as Reddit players have now reported they got unbanned.
As far as I know, miHoYo usually does ban waves. As in, players who cheated don’t get banned right away, but they all get rounded up and banned together after a certain time frame has elapsed. Since June 28 however, miHoYo mistakenly banned several players for a month.

GenshinImpactReddit player manages to get unbanned
One of these players, /rarno123,shared over on Redditthe in-game mail they received after they were unbanned, with 1000 Primogems and 9 Fragile Resin as compensation.
Theyexplainedthey contacted support through genshin_cs@mihoyo.com, and also via the in-game support menu via another account.

Another playeralso statedthat while they got a mail stating they were banned, they later could login to the game, with an in-game mail waiting for them with compensation. So yeah, if you got wrongfully banned, try login in regularly to see if you ban wasn’t undone.
miHoYo more likely to accept ban appeals
If you got wrongfully banned: If you haven’t done so yet, you should contact Customer Support to appeal your ban at genshin_cs@mihoyo.com. Be sure to only send one mail and just be patient, it can take days. Using the right channels and being patient is the only thing you can do. I think that’s obvious, and anyone who’ll actually read this article so far must know as much, but don’t go in the official discord server DMing some moderators about your case. You’ll only make things worse.
Genshin Impact(PS4, PS5, PC, Mobile) should add the Inazuma region with Version 1.7 on July 21. With new gacha banners forAyaka, Yoimiya and Sayu. We’ll have all the details soon with the usual monthly live stream.
