This month marks the second anniversary of Genshin Impact, so obviously, there is a lot of expectations from the developers. We witnessed similar hype last year as well, but it turned out to be a bit of a disappointment as fans were not quite satisfied with the rewards miHoYo handed out. Fans were expecting around 100 free pulls, however, miHoYo gave out only 23, which is something that didn’t go down well in the community. While miHoYo rectified its mistakes and did give out some more rewards eventually, the overall experience last year was still quite sour.

This year, miHoYo will likely not be repeating the mistakes and fans are expecting some good stuff from miHoYo’s end. Firstly, we have three new characters coming as part of the update, which includes Cyno, Candace and Nilou. These characters have been leaked previously and have been confirmed by miHoYo as well. The official banner schedule will be revealed during the livestream, but as per leaks we could be seeing both Cyno and Candace in the first banner itself, while Nilou will arrive in the next banner. However, unless this is confirmed, it should be taken with a grain of salt so players should plan their pulls accordingly.

The livestream is all set to be held on Friday, September 16th 2022. Here are the timings of the livestream as per various time zones.

To watch the livestream, fans can head on to theofficial Twitch channel of Genshin Impact. Alternatively, you an watch it on Youtube as well, but you need to wait for four hours for the livestream to arrive on Youtube. Usually, the English livestream takes place on Youtube, while the Twitch livestream is in Chinese. The codes are given out in the first livestream itself, so you may redeem them early without waiting for the Youtube livestream.
