If you’re looking to buy the latest and greatest video card fromNvidia, you’re going to have to wait, as it seems the demand is far outweighing the supply, even with its high price.
MSI US has announced they are expecting delays in availability of the RTX 50 cards, and won’t have any on hand on launch day (January 30).

MSI Gives An Update On RTX 50 Series Availability And Release Roll Out
In a post on the official MSIDiscord(viavideocardz), the company does not expect to have any stock available in any of its official stores on January 30. People can pre-order, but only for the stock allocated.
Per MSI, “We are going to allow RTX 5090 preorders on 1/30 at 6 am PST, with a ship date of 2/6. The RTX 5080 will be available for purchase on 1/30 at 6 am PST, with an immediate ship date of 1/30. RTX 5090 preorders will open on 1/30 at 6 am PST, with a ship date of 2/6.”

Important to note: other retailers will have stock of the 5090 as well, and this only applies to the US official store.
Just set expectations in check, as it seems stock for the latest high-end cards will be very scarce regardless of how they’ll be used.

If you’re looking to snag an RTX 5090 ASAP, you might want to try Asus, Gigabyte or another company, given MSI’s latest announcement. There are also scalpers, of course, but given the base prices of these new cards are already extremely high, expect to pay significantly more if you’re going to procure one on the black market.

The RTX 5090 will launch on January 30 at a suggested retail price of $1,999, while the RTX 5080 is also set to launc on the same day at $999.
