According to a new report by Shpeshal_Nick of theXboxErapodcast, Microsoft might have something exciting in store for avid fans of the platform. It is stated that there have been a number of rumors afloat about a franchise getting the same treatment as theMaster Chief Collection.

Nick adds that the game is none other than theGears of Warfranchise. Fans were a bit confused about whether this wasGears of Waror theForzafranchise, but it seems like it’s the former.
When it comes to the official announcement and the reveal of the game, it is stated (timestamp 43:30) that it will be coming in the E3-type event Microsoft has planned for next month. Moreover, it is further added that the game will be coming out this year itself, which is not that big of a surprise if one considers how things have been lately.
Xbox fans have been slightly disappointed lately, as Microsoft announced that bothRedfallandStarfieldwill not be coming this year. When one looks at the major titles Xbox had in store, these two were the only first-party titles that were slated to release this year. Surely, there are tons of third-party console exclusives slated to release this year as well, but fans are expecting some first-party exclusives as well.
