The company behindDivinity: Original SinandBaldur’s Gate 3, winner of the 2023 Game of The Year award, has announced the expansion of its operations with the opening of a new studio in Warsaw, Poland. In contrast to the current trend in the gaming industry, where studios are being shut down to cut costs, the team behindBG3is growing.
Through this expansion,Larian Studiosaims to use its seventh studio to support the development of two new and ambitious RPG projects, reaffirming its commitment to producing high-quality games in the market.
What Is Larian Doing After Baldur’s Gate 3?
After the release of their last game, many wondered howLarianwould surpass its success,as expectations for their next releases are high. Unfortunately, little is known about their current projects, as the only statement given by the studio is that they are working on two new, ambitious, but yet-to-be-announced RPGs.
However, the new studio in Warsaw follows the steps of the company’s other studios around the world, creating spaces where developers can thrive creatively. Additionally, the choice to work in Poland is strategic, as the country is one of the main hubs for RPG development globally, and home toCD Projekt Red, the creators ofThe Witcher.
Another key point is that Warsaw’s central location offers easy access to various European destinations, providing an additional incentive to attract local and international talent to joinLarian’steam. The company is excited to meet new programmers, RPG designers, writers, and other professionals who want to contribute to creating innovative gaming experiences.

Will Larian Continue Working on Baldur’s Gate 3?
Despite creating one of the most awarded games of 2023, the studio has announced that neither of its two new projects is related toBaldur’s Gate 3. According to CEOSwen Vicke, it is time to develop their own intellectual properties.

However, for fans worried about waiting another 20 years for aBaldur’s Gatesequel, rest assured. Hasbro, the owner of theDungeons & Dragonsrights, announced an investment of $1 billion in new game productions, although they did not comment on what these projects will be.
