Playground Gameshas announced a new stream for February 23, during which the studio will announce the second major expansion forForza Horizon 5. Thestreamwill go live at 9 AM PT/12 AM ET/5 PM UTC/6 PM CET. The announcement will likely last for an hour before the developer moves on to the Forza monthly stream to detail the new Horizon Wilds series at 1 PM ET.
Forza Horizon 5 has only received one major expansion so far, which was the Hot Wheels DLC released back in July 2022. It is yet to be seen what would be the main theme for the next DLC, but you shouldn’t ignore the possibility of another crossover as the Horizon series had previously partnered with Lego as well for aForza Horizon 4DLC. With last year’s Hot Wheels expansion, Playground Games delivered 10 new vehicles as well as a brand-new location based on the Hot Wheels universe.

If you already own the Premium Edition of Forza Horizon 5, you will receive free access to the upcoming expansion similar to Hot Wheels. Keep in mind that those who are playing the game throughXbox/PC Game Passwill not receive the DLC content without paying the price. The same goes for Car Pass and VIP Membership features.
The upcoming DLC is going to be the final Forza Horizon 5 expansion based on the pre-release roadmap, but it remains unknown if Playground Games will continue to support the game with new DLC releases in the future, or if it would rather shift its focus on delivering the next title in the series.
Playground Games is currently busy working onFable, while a second team is helping Turn 10 to deliver a reboot ofForza Motorsportlater this year. So, it’s anyone’s guess as to when we can expect a possible Forza Horizon 6, knowing how much work has surrounded the studio at the moment.
Despite a huge technical leap in visuals, Forza Horizon 5 still didn’t skip Xbox One consoles, but it might be the last Forza title on Microsoft’s last-gen console, as Forza Motorsport has only been confirmed for Xbox Series X|S and PC up until now.
