Epic Games have released the second teaser image forFortniteChapter 2: Season 7, which includes a potential nod to the famous DC character Clark Kent/Superman himself.
Fortniteand DC have been working very closely lately, with the most recent collaboration being the Beast Boy Cup and Outfit. Now, it looks like the two giants will continue to work together into Season 7.
FortniteSeason 7 Teaser #2
In the lead up to Season 7 of Chapter 2, Epic Games have been releasing small bits of information on their Twitter account. On June 6, an image was released which appeared to show 3 seperate items. Check out the official teaser below.
From left to right is a guitar, pair of glasses, and a shotgun. The guitar is likely just a back bling cosmetic and the shotgun on the right hand side appears to be from theSave The Worldmode.
What’s really important about this teaser is the ‘Clark Kent’ style glasses in the middle, as well as the description that goes with them.
“When placed onto the face this strange plastic device seemed to make us appear as unrecognizable. More testing required.”
This is of course a nod to DCs Superman, who hides his identity with a pair of glasses when he becomes Clark Kent. So, what does it mean?
Fortnitex Superman
With the theme of Season 7 confirmed to be related to space and aliens, it’s not unlikely that Superman will be involved in the new theme too. Especially consideringFortniteand DC have worked together multiple times now.
Could this meanFortnitefans will be getting a Superman Outfit in Season 7? More than likely so, yes. Nothing is confirmed as of writing, but it’s a pretty strong teaser.
Donald Mustard, the chief creative officer at Epic Games, also hinted at the new Superman crossover by quote-retweeting the newFortniteteaser with “…look up!” - another nod to the superhero.
FortniteChapter 2: Season 7
We’re getting closer and closer to the launch ofFortniteSeason 7, with only a few days left to go.
Players will be able to jump in toFortniteChapter 2: Season 7 on Tuesday, June 8. Make sure you’ve levelled up your Battle Pass before we enter the new season.
