Fortnitehas enjoyed a great manyhigh-profile pop-culture crossoversin its life, with characters from the Avengers, Star Wars and DC appearing in Epic Games' seminal battle royale.FortniteChapter 2 Season 5 has already featured the likes of the Mandalorian, his ever-present companion Baby Yoda (AKA Grogu) and the Predator, and it seems the next iconic character coming to the game could be the Xenomorph from theAlienfranchise.
As with past cosmetic crossovers, a portal recently opened up on the island. On Wednesday,Fortnitedataminer HYPEX shared a video from the portal, known as “Kepler,” which suggested H.R. Giger’s terrifying extra-terrestrial could be the next legendary skin to arrive in the game.
In the 45-second video, which depicts the hallway of a spaceship reminiscent of the USM Auriga fromAlien: Resurrection, familiar tell-tale shrieks and hisses can be heard, which strongly suggests the Xenomorph is on its way. The theme for Chapter 2 Season 5 has been hunters, so the inclusion of the deadly Xenomorph would be a logical step forFortnite, particularly after the debut of the Alien’s long-time nemesis, the Predator, in January.

“>Mang0e recently leaked that an animation for an extra-large male skin had been added to the game, prompting speculation that Marvel villain Thanos, the only previous XL male skin that existed inFortnite, could be set to make a spectacular return to the game. However, following this latest leak and knowing that the Xenomorphs from the Alien series tend to be significantly larger than the average human, it now seems much more likely that the XL skin is indeed the Xenomorph. As for the animation, perhaps that could be the Alien’s trademark piston-like inner jaw, the species' preferred method of killing unfortunate victims in the films.
We last had anAliens vs. Predatorgame back in 2010, and both characters also featured as DLC characters inMortal KombatX in 2015, so we’re overdue the ability to make these iconic horror monsters face off once again.
