Starfieldwas hyped up as the title that would change Xbox’s market position in the gaming ecosystem. And it had all the requirements for a chart-busting title, being Bethesda’s new IP in 25 years, described by Todd Howards as ‘Skyrimin Space.’

The massive open world of Starfield felt empty and mediocre.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t all it could have been and only turned out to be a mediocre title that felt incredibly empty. But, on the bright side, it was released on PC, giving modders the ability to take matters into their own hands, and as it stands, they have done a fantastic job of altering the title’s offerings.

Starfield Meets Star Wars All Thanks to Modders

Bethesda has tried and is still trying to make their latest title a hit.Whether it is adding new features, performance options, or a 60 FPS patch for Xbox Series X, among many other inclusions, despite these efforts, the title is still in a horrid place.

But thanks to the game’s community, modders have come to the game’s rescue. While mods in Bethesda titles aren’t novel by any means, and titles likeSkyrimhave had trendy mods associated with them, people genuinely love what modders have achieved with Bethesda’s latest.

Star Wars Outlaws might be what the franchise needs.

A clip shared on social media showed a clip from the game’s modded version, which looks nothing like the original, filled to the brim with elements, NPCs, weapons, and enemies fromStar Wars. A YouTuber, DeityVeng, created the mod; Rebs Gaming shared its footage on X:

YouTuber DeityVengy turned Starfield into the ultimate Star Wars game by installing over 100 mods. Here’s footage from their video of Mandalorian, custom NPCs, AT-ST, and R2-D2. Full video:https://t.co/dOgFW1Zegd#Starfieldpic.twitter.com/Gb8mo1Tard

Also, one of the most essential takeaways from the embedded footage is that the modded assets shown in the clip above blend seamlessly with the game’s visuals and do not look out of place. Reacting to the same, a user stated that:

While the mods made by the YouTuber will have numerous benefits for gamers playingStarfieldon PC only, and console player would not be able to enjoy their fruits, these mods have a more significant implication.

A Modded Starfield Is What a Star Wars Game Similar to Bethesda’s Title Would Look Like

Starfieldhad many problems with it. The world feels meaninglessly empty with not as much character and activities to pursue, and exploration feels like a chore.Among the most robust negatives is the game’s writing, which is sometimes downright poor.

However, many of these things were open to experimentation since Bethesda built a new IP from scratch. It didn’t have any reference material for the game, which could change if a game of the same ambition is built based on the Lucasfilm franchise.

Fans seem to agree with this, too. That a concept like Bethesda’s latest, if blended well with the setting from the LucasFilms IP, could be tremendous:

This makes me want to see a star wars RPG made by Bethesda, also insane how we haven’t had a open world star wars RPG before, though there will be outlaws so there’s that

This also means thatStar Wars Outlaws, being marketed as the first open-world Star Wars game, is executed well; it could bode well for Ubisoft. Unfortunately, it is not an RPG but an action-adventure title.

What do you think? Could aStar WarsRPG work? We would love to know your thoughts in the comments section below.
