Square Enix has finally announced theFinal Fantasy Tacticsremaster, called Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles, at the Sony State of Play event. However, its arrival wasn’t a total surprise, as it wasleaked online years ago.
The Final Fantasy Tactics remaster was revealed as part of theNvidia GeForce Now leakof 2021. In fact, it’s one of a handful of games that has yet to be confirmed from the leaked list, with the other notable name being the remake ofFinal Fantasy IX.

Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles contains the original game, as well as a revamped version with improved visuals, story additions, gameplay changes, and is fully voice acted. The game is set to launch on PS4 and PS5 on June 20, 2025.
Final Fantasy Tactics is often considered to be thebest entry in the franchise, and is even classed among the greatest video games of all time. From the amazing strategy RPG gameplay, to the masterfully told story of corruption and civil war in a fantasy world, and even down to the soundtrack, which is among the best Final Fantasy OSTs of all time. Fans have been chomping at the bit for this remaster, and with good reason.
