AfterFinal Fantasy 16’s second time skip, we pick up five years after the events with the first Mothercrystal. Clive has now taken a new name and, with it, new abilities from Ramuh, giving players their third Eikon.

After a brief fight with some guards, they bring out the Republican War Panther to try and take out Cid The Outlaw. This beast is quick on its feet and will be jumping around the battlefield, but Clive’s new tricks are perfect for taking it out quickly.
Republican War Panther First Half
For the most part, the first half of this boss fight will have the Pantherusing a simple lunge and swipe attack with one of its front paws. This attack is able to cover a surprising amount of ground; meaning distance won’t bring you safety. Watch which paw it is lunging at you with anddodge in the opposite direction to stay safe.
It also has aspin attack that will be used if you attempt to fight the enemy from behind, but its overall simplistic attack pattern makes it a safe fight head-on. UtilizeRamuh’s new abilitiesin combination with your own to deal massive stagger damageto knock it off its feet and get its health below half to trigger its new attack.

Savage Attack And Second Half
Should you not defeat this boss the first time it is staggered, it will get back up andimmediately use a unique attack called “Savage.“This attack will start with alunge and flurry of swipes before it jumps back.It will thenlunge forward for a final swipebefore finishing its unique attack and going back to its previous combos. From here,the fight is just like the first half,and the boss can befinished off easily from here.
