It was only a few hours earlier that EA Sports shared the official announcement trailer for FIFA 23, and with the Steam page of the game already gone online, the PC version is officially based on the next-gen edition.

FIFA 22 on PC was based on the last-gen version of consoles, and it did receive a huge backlash from the PC community of the game as it’s no secret that they wanted the ultimate FIFA experience visually.

With FIFA 23, that will no longer be an issue as EA Sports is bringing the Hypermotion 2 technology to the powerhouse at your home.

With this upgrade, the minimum and recommended system requirements for FIFA 23 have also significantly changed compared to FIFA 22. This probably means some fans need to upgrade their PC if they still want to keep up with the series. Currently, the minimum required GPU for FIFA 23 is a GTX 1050 Ti or a Radeon RX 570. While the minimum amount of RAM still remains on 8 GB, you will need 100 GB of free space for installing the game, which is double the amount that FIFA 22 needs.

While Hypermotion 2 sounds interesting, there is a downside to this upgrade, and you will realize that as soon as you check out theSteam pageof FIFA 23!

Similar to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, FIFA 23 will cost $70 on PC, which is happening for the first time on this platform. That being said, fans will have to get used to it sooner or later. FIFA or EA Sports FC is currently the top football (soccer) simulator in the world and none of the competitors are even close when it comes to licensing matters.

FIFA 23 is not the first game to get a $70 price tag on PC. Square Enix previously launched Final Fantasy 7 Remake, a 3-year-old game, on Epic Games Store for $70. The Japanese company has also priced Forspoken for the same amount on Steam.

So, this is probably the inevitable future for PC gaming, and while some publishers such as Microsoft and Ubisoft still resist increasing the launch price for their titles, they will begin to launch their games for $70 as well sooner or later.
