TheAnimal Crossing: New Horizons2.0 update introduced thousands of new building items, leading one fan to recreate Breath of the Wild’s iconic Castle Town.
Looking for the perfect island aesthetic now that theAnimal Crossing: New Horizons2.0 update introduced some new items? Why not turn to other Nintendo games for inspiration!
Now inspired by the castle aesthetic, oneAC:NHfan turned toThe Legend of Zelda’s Castle Town for their island.
HOW THE AC:NH FAN RECREATED CASTLE TOWN
Here,AC:NHplayerNaydinfarrecreated Castle Town’s gorgeous bannered entrance using both new items and customized designs. Complete with ramparts, cannons, and the gorgeous statue in the center of town, their island looks every bit the imposing Hyrulean castle.
Of course, a lot of this island design was made possible by the new Castle Set furniture items. These items were initially introduced in the 2.0 update in early November. With the grey stonework, the Castle Wall, Castle Gate, and Castle Tower really do make a near-perfect match for Castle Town.
Overall, too, the build was fairly expensive. The Castle Wall costs 56,000 bells, the Castle Gate 160,000 bells, and the Castle Tower a whopping 250,000 bells. Additionally, the time to place all the items and design custom Castle Town banners make Naydinfar’s island an impressive work of art.
Deeper into the island, the game’s marketplace comes to life with Nook Miles Fountains, a Valiant Statue, and cute greenery. Further, the surrounding villager homes even resemble the cottage-like stores in theLoZgames. Even though it’s a much cuter version, Naydinfar has really nailed the Castle Town design.
Aside from the impressive planning and building, Naydinfar is also clearly an accomplished designer. Many of the path tiles and the armor design were created by Naydinfar for this Castle Town build. And, I must say, it’s highly effective - the armor mannequins really do make it seem like the island is alive with guards.
