Grand Theft Auto 6’s Fall 2025 Release Announcement Might Have Caused Take-Two Stocks To Plummet
Take-Two Interactive’s stock price took a dive yesterday, shortly after the company confirmed a ‘Fall 2025’ release for Grand Theft Auto 6.
There’s still the opportunity for Grand Theft Auto 6 to be delayed into 2026, which wouldn’t come as much of a surprise given that Grand Theft Auto 5 wasoriginally delayed by a few months. But, if things go according to plan, the fall of 2025 could be a monumental period for gamers, and not just due to the release of Grand Theft Auto 6.

2025 Is Going To Feel Like 2013 For Gamers
If numerous rumours and leaks are to be believed, Grand Theft Auto 6, a sequel to 2012’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, and a new Battlefield game could all be released toward the end of 2025. While Grand Theft Auto 6 is the only one to confirm this release window, there have been plenty of leaks and rumours surrounding 2025’s Call of Duty and Battlefield games.
Back in January,Insider Gamingreported that the next Battlefield game could be released in Autumn 2025. In a Q3 2024 conference call, EA said it was “making investments in the future of the Battlefield franchise.” The potential 2025 release window was once again backed up by industry insiderTom Henderson, following the news of Grand Theft Auto 6’s release window.

Also rumoured to be releasing in the same period is a new Call of Duty game. The rumour once again comes fromInsider Gaming, who reported back in December that Call of Duty 2025 would be a direct sequel to 2012’s Black Ops 2.
While we haven’t even gotten to the reveal of Call of Duty’s 2024 title, 2025’s entry will reportedly include a whole host of remastered Black Ops 2 maps, similar to what 2023’s Modern Warfare 3 did on release.

There will, of course, be a whole host of other video games releasing in this period. But fans often look back fondly on 2013 following the launch of three monumental games: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (which technically launched in 2012), Battlefield 4, and Grand Theft Auto 5.
If the stars align and we get a new entry in all three franchises within the same time period, we could be looking at a golden age of video games.
