CapcomandExpoprimaldevelopers have listened to the feedback from fans during the recent open beta test, and are nowproviding a comprehensive lookat all the components of the upcoming launch build, as well as what kind of support the game will receive after its release.

The gameplay modes we know of so far are seven in total, and all of them are grouped under the umbrella mode Dino Survival, the main mission mode. In this mode, two squads of five race to complete ever-changing objectives, such as competing against each other or teaming up to face a large enemy dinosaur.

Some missions require you to defeat a specific dinosaur or group of dinosaurs (Dinosaur Cull, Dino Pursuit, and Neo T-Rex), while others include other objectives such as VTOL Defense (basically Exoprimal’s Horde mode), Omega Charge (destroy targets with the Omega Hammer), Escort (the name speaks for itself), Data Key Security (kind of Exoprimal’s own take on Capture The Flag modes).

The update mentions that Dino Survival is staying and will introduce story missions in addition to cutscenes and an analysis map where players can explore Exoprimal’s history and the mysteries surrounding Leviathan and parallel worlds. It also mentions that there will be missions that don’t involve PvP gimmicks, presumably referring to the other Dino modes.

10-player co-op missions with a variety of objectives and even fiercer dinosaurs are teased, as well as 5-player missions that rotate weekly with global leaderboards for the fastest completion time. There will also be a variety of maps and modules (Destiny-like weapon mods) to further customize the exosuit’s capabilities. All the cosmetic stuff is there, including decals and emotes, and there will be special in-game challenges and awards for completing certain things (like Exoprimal’s own trophy system).

That’s about it for what will be available at launch. As for post-launch, Exoprimal says it will include collaborations with other Capcom titles, seasonal updates, and Exosuit variants that use different equipment for different play styles, like Deadeye with a burst-fire rifle that can also be used as a shotgun.
