Currently, the Dominator will only let you spawn in as a Triceratops, Carnotaurus, and Tyrannosaurus Rex.Each dinosaur has their own skill set, but the strategies to playing them and defeating them will remain generally the same. This guide will go over what you should be doing as an angry dinosaur to sow chaos among the enemy team, and the best ways to stop an enemy dinosaur in their tracks.
How To Get The Dominator
The Dominator will spawn in the final mission of a game. Leviathan will announce that it’s deploying a Dominator for a specific team and create it in an area close to that team.Once spawned, the Dominator will be indicated through a blue icon hovering over the Dominator and a large tower of light emitted from it.
Whichever team is completing objectives the slowest will have the Dominator spawned for them first. The team that’s ahead, or completing objectives faster, will get their Dominator second. This is to give the team that’s behind a chance at a comeback.

Once the Dominator has been located, walk up to it and hold the button for your “use” action. This will put the Dominator in your toolbar and replace your current rig item. If you die with the Dominator, use the “place craft” action, or if you switch Exosuits, you will drop the Dominator and a teammate will be able to pick it up.
The Dominator is a one-off item, and it will disappear after you use it, so use it wisely!

How to Use The Dominator
To use the Dominator, simply press the button associated with using your “rig” item.Once done, your Exofighter will summon a dinosaur, and you will take control of it on the enemy’s side of the map.
While it can be tempting to use the Dominator immediately after you get it,be sure to save it for when it matters the most.If your team is behind by more than 20% in the final mission, consider using it to even the playing field against the enemy team and give your team the chance to finish the objective a little earlier than your opponents. However, the best time to use the Dominator is when the two teams face off or just before.

Avoid using the Dominator when the enemy team is using theirs. Having 5 players focus-firing the Dominator will be more effective than having 4 players focus-firing it.
If you’re in the Datakey Security mission, both teams will face off at the very end when the two keys run parallel to each other in front of the final goal. During this time, using a Dominator can be devastating because the dinosaur player has their team to back them up.Since the final fight is when teams want to use their Overdrives on the enemy team, having a dinosaur running around forces players to choose between using their Overdrives to stop the enemy Exofighters or dealing with the dinosaur running amok on their Datakey.
If your team is further behind than you’re comfortable with, then using the Dominator just before the final team fight isn’t a bad idea either. The reasoning behind this is you’ll slow down the enemy team enough to hopefully catch up, but you’ll also force the enemy team to use their Overdrives just before the pivotal final fight.
Using the Dominator too early gives the enemy team a chance to recharge their Overdrives in time for the final fight, so the later you use the Dominator the better.
Once you’ve taken control of a dinosaur,be sure to target the objective to the best of your ability then focus on getting rid of players. Your best case scenario is using any attacks that can hit both players and the objective. While eliminating a player is nice, killing the objective repeatedly will give your team more of an advantage than just killing players.

How To Counter The Dominator
A well-used Dominator can swing the entire game in one team’s favor. Countering it becomes an important part to winning both the final confrontation and the mission as a whole.
The first step to beating the Dominator is tostick close to the objective and focus fire the Dominator dinosaur once it appears.Running away may preserve your life, but it also lets the dinosaur destroy your objective which will set your team back just as much as a player dying. Sticking close to the objective will also lessen the overall effect a Dominator dinosaur has unless the dinosaur comes back to your team where it can get focus fired. Remember, a Dominator is used to get ahead in the objective race, andif your team is still completing the objective despite the Dominator being present, then you’re mitigating the Dominator’s usefulness.
As for focus-firing the big bad dinosaur, the easiest way to beat the Dominator is to use Skywave’s Overdrive, De-synchronize, with a damage-dealing Overdrive like Deadeye’s Cluster Salvo.De-synchronize will hold the dinosaur in place, rendering it temporarily harmless while Cluster Salvo will melt through most of its HP bar. Your team can focus fire down whatever is left after these two powerful Overdrives.
Skywave also has the additional benefit of infinite flight - meaning the Dominator dinosaur cannot touch her while she’s flying. If your team has used the Dominator when both teams are fighting, ensure you have a Krieger on your team as well. His Stunlock Missiles can lock onto Skywave and stun her out of the skies so your Dominator can finish her off. Ideally, you do this before she gets her Overdrive off, but that’s not always going to be the case.
you may swap Exosuits and still keep your Overdrive charge. When a Dominator is deployed to the enemy team, don’t be afraid to swap to an Exosuit that can handle it better than the one you’re using now.
If those options aren’t available to you,use Roadblock as a way to slow down the Dominator-user.His shield lets him take several hits from the Dominator dinosaur and, as a result, he can protect the objective and his teammates much easier than the other tanks can. While Roadblock is protecting the objective, the rest of his team can focus fire the Dominator.
Now that you know how to use and beat the Dominator, get out there and start slaying some dinosaurs!
