In aninterview, Saber Interactive’s Chief Creative Officer, Tim Willits, opened up about the development ofSpace Marine 2. While going in-depth about various design choices and philosophies, Willits revealed that Games Workshop worked closely with the Saber, and right from dialogues to characters, the company monitored everything.
Yes, they were a great partner. Everything had to be approved, from a small insignia to iconography, dialogue, etc. But they were great to work with and helped us every step of the way, so it was a real partnership.

Willits mentions that the development team will need some time time to breathe before moving forward. However, he has assured players that Saber won’t let downWarhammerfans.
Willits also dives into the importance offeaturing new content additions in the form of DLC packs, stating that giving players new ways to experience what’s already established can go a long way in extending the game’s life.

He further reveals that releasing a trailer for the upcoming expansion can result in massive sale spikes, and ensuring that the game benefits from those are currently Saber’s top priority.
