The women’s edition of Money in the Bank may have only launched in 2017, but in just eight years, we’ve already had our fair share of wonderful moments and ones that fell short. Towards the end of the 2010s, the women of the WWE were getting more opportunities, and the Money in the Bank felt like the next best step.

Like the men’s side, the Money in the Bank briefcaseguarantees the holder a shot at any WWE Championship within one year of winning the briefcase. Unlike the men, however, the women are currently operating at a 100% success rate, which essentially means if you win the briefcase, you’re bound to become a champion.

10 Iconic WWE Superstar Alter Egos

These stars didn’t need to be themselves to get over.

From the woman who spelled her name as F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S. to the mega superstar that bested Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 41, here are the eight female Money in the Bank winners, from worst to best. Just remember, one has to be at the bottom of the list, but that doesn’t mean they were terrible.

Okay, so about that last sentiment of a winner not being a terrible decision, we can make an exception for the first entry on this list. Nikki A.S.H., who now goes byNikki Cross of the Wyatt Sicks, was a shocking win, but not in a good way.

The match was enriched with major talent, like Asuka, Liv Morgan, Alexa Bliss, and Naomi, yet it was the superhero sensation to come out on top. To be fair to Nikki, the WWE was trying to build moments with new members of the roster, and she was definitely a part of a big moment on that night.

Fast-forward to the next night, and not only did Nikki cash in successfully to become the new WWE Women’s Champion, she beat Charlotte Flair(a recurring theme on this list). She dropped the title the following month, though I can’t blame her for losing a triple-threat match against Charlotte and Rhea Ripley.

Money In The Bank (2017)

2 Days + 287 Days

You know a match isn’t well-received when Dave Meltzer decides to skip the rating. Not that there’s anything against Carmella, a wrestler who made almost nothing into a fun storyline to follow along with, but her Money in the Bank win had disaster written all over it.

First, there was the debate about how she won the briefcase, which led SmackDown General Manager Daniel Bryan to reset the match and strip Carmella of her original win. This meant that once Carmella won the briefcase back, she had two runs with the same briefcase.

Her second stint with the contract lasted 287 days, which is longer than any superstar on both the men’s and women’s sides has held.Charlotte Flair takes another loss here, and Carmella managed to turn it into a run of 131 days before dropping it to, you guessed it, Charlotte Flair.

7Liv Morgan

Money in the Bank (2022)

Ronda Rousey (Successful)

If you want to pinpoint the start of Liv Morgan’s meteoric rise in the women’s division, look no further than her 2022 Money in the Bank win. Putting her Riot Squad days behind her, Morgan’s switch to the SmackDown brand was met with immediate success.

FollowingRonda Rousey’s win the same night, Morgan would run out and cash-in on the new champion, taking Rousey down to the delight of the crowd. Liv Morgan had dreamed of this moment as a kid when she wrestled her siblings in the backyard, and now that dream was a reality.

In 2025, Morgan is one of the biggest stars in the company, and someone the WWE can trust to put the title on and run with it. She’s had multiple stints as WWE Women’s Champion, successful runs in the tag team division, and is a constant source of entertainment with her role in the Judgement Day.

Money in the Bank (2020)

Becky Lynch (Successful)

The 2020 Money in the Bank PLE was such a weird time to be alive, as both the men’s and women’s matches took place at the same time. To make matters more uncanny, the event took place during the pandemic era, which meant there were no fans in attendance.

Asuka felt like the obvious choice to win this match, and she did everything in her power to win, including jumping off high places into all of her opponents. By the time the night was over, Asuka had won the briefcase, but as we learned later on, there was more to it.

WWE Attitude Era Moments That Defined The Era

To really get into what the Attitude Era was all about, we’re going to check out some of the most iconic moments that began the best era.

Becky Lynch was serving as the champion at the time, but due to a pregnancy announcement, she was forced to vacate. The WWE brilliantly shifted the narrative on this night, announcing that Asuka had not only won the Money in the Bank match, but inside the briefcase was not a contract, but the WWE Women’s Championship.

Money in the Bank (2025)

Currently holding

The 2025 Women’s Money in the Bank match may have been one of the most stacked line-ups since its debut. You could make a case for any of the six women involved to win the briefcase, and there wouldn’t be any problem with the outcome.

Thankfully, the WWE went with the more obvious choice in Naomi, someone who had been in line for a push for quite some time. Naomi’s heel turn was the perfect route to take, and with a newfound aura and energy, her Money in the Bank win was a step in the right direction.

Looking back at her career, from a Funkadactyl sideshow to the glow superstar, Naomi has consistently given every character her all. It’s about time the company saw the real value in her and pushed her to the next step, and her eventual championship win will be a career come full circle.

Money in the Bank (2019)

Before her days with Damage Control and antagonizing Michael Cole at the commentary table, Bayley’s hugger gimmick was still in effect. She wasa lovable babyfacewith the crowd, and making her the underdog winner of the 2019 Money in the Bank match felt like a storybook ending.

At the same time, it felt like she didn’t want to carry that briefcase through customs, because she ended up only holding it for a total of 85 minutes. Bayley cashed in on Charlotte Flair, and I promise that it’s the last time she’ll be included on this list in defeat.

Bayley was a reputable champion in both her first and second stints with the title. After dropping it back to Charlotte following a reign of 140 days, Bayley recaptured it from Charlotte (okay, last time for real) and went on a monster 380-day reign, which remains the longest of any run, and tied with only Rhea Ripley.

3Alexa Bliss

Money in the Bank (2018)

Nia Jax (Successful)

Throughout her tenure, Alexa Bliss has undergone many changes, ranging from a glitz and glamor cheerleader to the Fiend’s best friend. Yet, Bliss was at her best when she became the 2018 Money in the Bank winner and began her reign on Monday Night Raw.

Outlasting the likes of Charlotte (sorry), Becky Lynch, Naomi, and Asha Banks, Bliss set herself up for a third run with the Raw Women’s Championship. It’s crazy to think that in those combined three runs in a two-year span, Bliss was champion for 398 days.

This time around,Nia Jax was the unfortunate loserof the cash-in, which Bliss wasted no time pulling off. Like Bayley and Liv Morgan, Bliss also had no interest in taking the briefcase on the flight back home, and she cashed in the same night to become a three-time Women’s Champion.

2Tiffany Stratton

Money in the Bank (2024)

The most recent women’s Money in the Bank winner is Tiffany Stratton,a recently-called up NXT starthat quickly evolved into a main roster megastar. Despite being introduced as a smug heel, the WWE couldn’t get away from the thunderous cheers every time her music hit the speakers.

It was only a matter of time before Tiffany was elevated to the main event picture, and her Money in the Bank win sped that process up tenfold. It was a weird spot to be in, as her bestie, Nia Jax, was the Women’s Champion at the time, and no good friend would betray them like that, right?

Well, in Tiffany’s case, you could argue that Nia Jax had it coming. The constant berating and humiliation left Tiffany with no other alternative, and the cash-in that went down after 181 days of holding the briefcase not only changed Stratton to a babyface, it made her one of the most popular wrestlers on SmackDown.

Money In The Bank (2023)

Bianca Belair (Successful)

At this point, there shouldn’t be any debate about who the best women’s wrestler in the world is. In fact, Iyo Sky may be one of the best in-ring workers the WWE currently has rostered.

In 2023, that debate was less prevalent, as Iyo Sky was given the Money in the Bank briefcase and positioned to be next in line for a championship push. That push would come 35 days later, when she charged the ring with Bayley, attacking Bianca Belair and winning her first WWE Women’s Championship of her career.

For 246 days, Iyo Sky ruled the women’s division, and it felt like nobody could stop her. However, an ill-advised decision to turn on Bayley led to theirWrestleMania 40 showdownand subsequent loss, in a match that is regarded as one of the best 1-on-1 women’s matches in WrestleMania history.
