Battle royale gameFortniteis showing no signs of slowing down, with apreviously-announced Fall Skirmishevent on the way. Succeeding the Summer Skirmish series, details remained sparse on Fall Skirmish, until ablog postfrom developer Epic Games today.

The event is kicking off next weekend and will have a prize pool of $10 million. The series will last for six weeks, going all the way to TwitchCon, which will last from October 26 to 28. Fall Skirmish will have a “new approach” compared to that of the Summer Skirmish, consisting of “Competitive” and “Entertainment” events.

Over 500 competitors will be divided into five “Clubs,” called Fort Knights, Lucky Llamas, Dusty Dogs, Rift Raiders, and Bush Bandits. These Clubs will earn points throughout the series based on their members' performance in matches. At the end of the event, Clubs will be awarded up to $4 million based on how many points they’ve earned.

The details on how points are distributed are as follows:

WEEK 1 SKIRMISH - HOLD THE THRONE DUOS

The Duo team with the most points at the end of 6 matches wins. Victory Royales and Eliminations will be scored to determine placement at the end of the event. The top 10 teams at the end of the competition will be awarded.

VICTORY ROYALE:+3 POINTS

2ND-3RD PLACE:+2 POINTS

4TH-5TH PLACE:+1 POINT

8+ ELIMINATIONS:+3 POINTS

6-7 ELIMINATIONS:+2 POINTS

4-5 ELIMINATIONS:+1 POINT

HOLD THE THRONE (MOST ELIMINATIONS IN ANY MATCH):+2 POINTS

Club Points

Additionally, the Duo who Holds the Throne at the end of the 6 matches will be awarded a bonus of $50,000.

Players on the same Club will assemble into Squads to play matches on the default Squad playlist. The top squad with the highest amount of eliminations in a single match from each Club will earn prizes and Club points based on their performance.

Long story short, competitors are going to have plenty of opportunities to earn money throughout the event. Epic hopes that with some of the stated changes, the event will be tighter than the Summer Skirmish, which had some technical and logistical issues.
