Elden Ring Steam reviews temporarily deleted: Theories

SeveralElden Ringfans, myself included, confirmed that theSteam page for the gamewent from thousands of customer reviews to zero reviews listed for several hours on February 24 night EST. As if all reviews were deleted or hidden for a few hours.

Now that the reviews came back, you’re able to confirm that a good chunk of them are very negative because several players are reporting performance issues, most notably a freezing/game stuttering issue. Moreover, it looks like the freezing problem can trigger regardless of your PC’s specs andin-game graphics configuration.

In the game’s open-world, there are several instances where the game freezes for a few microseconds. Some players don’t mind it, but many find it incredibly annoying, breaking their immersion.you’re able to spot the issue in this video.

Players theorized this is due to the game loading assets. The problem varies from player to player, and some of the FrenchElden RingPC players I’ve spoken to aren’t encountering the issue at all.

Furthermore, FromSoftware and Bandai Namco have yet to communicate on the issue as I’m writing this. Hence why fans are so disappointed and angry with the PC version ofElden Ring.
