Elden Ringis full of strange, mystical locations, but none quite so awe-inspiring as the first time you step into Siofra River Well. The dazzling “night” sky, so deep underground, is mesmerizing. The area is full of the deadlyAncestral Follower Spirits, along with some other beasts here and there.

You’ll also find a series ofeight braziersthat can be lit throughout this area. Lighting these eight braziers will grant you access to theAncestor Spirit boss fight, which, once defeated, will grant you theAncestral Follower Spirit Ashes.
How To Reach Siofra River Well

First Brazier Location
The first brazier is located very close to the Siofra River Bank site of grace. You’ll find itjust to the east, toward the temple stairs. Once you light it, you’ll see the corresponding brazier on the temple stairs light up.
Second Brazier Location
A little to the north of the Siofra River Bank site of grace, you’ll find a wooded path heading northwest toward the second brazier. You’ll need to contend withseveral Ancestral Follower Spiritshere, who can be difficult to fight more than one at a time. If you head up the right side of the rock wall toward the brazier, you should come up behind most, allowing you a chance to open with a back stab.
Third Brazier Location
The third brazier can be found on thenorth side of the first crumbling bridge, located on a small island inhabited by three Ancestral Follower Spirits. After defeating the three Ancestral Follower Spirits, light the brazier.

Fourth Brazier Location
The fourth brazier can be dangerous to retrieve. It is located east/southeast of the third brazier, up a wooded path, andon the edge of a climb. The path to it is littered with Ancestral Follower Spirits, and more notably, the archer variants. You’ll spot a group of three walking up the path toward the brazier, but thearchers are hidden in bushes and behind treesin the surrounding area, and they have pinpoint accuracy. Your best strategy here is to either sprint and panic roll up the hill to light the brazier before you die, or you’ll need to carefully pick your path, eliminating the Ancestral Follower Spirit archers along the way. This stretch is extremely difficult if you find yourself under-leveled. If you are, it might be worth coming back later when you’re more powerful in order to reduce frustration.
Fifth Brazier Location
From the fourth brazier, head north, past a couple of stone torches lighting the path. From there, turn north/northwest. It is also directly northeast of the third brazier, near the right side of the crumbling bridge ruins. You will spot a couple offloating lightning orbsnearby. These lightning orbs send out a volley of devastating lightning attacks, but only for a couple of seconds before they (the orbs) fade away. They can spell a quick death for those unwary, but when you initiate lighting the torch, you will becomeinvulnerablefor a short time, allowing you to avoid most of their attacks.
Sixth Brazier Location
The sixth brazier can be found just to the northwest,past a Giant Crab. From the fifth brazier, head across the water, avoiding the lightning orb and Giant Crab. An Ancestral Follower Spirit will appear nearby the brazier, so you’ll want to dispatch him before lighting it. After lighting it, go ahead and grab theWorshipers' Woods site of gracelocated just to the east of the sixth brazier under one of the bridge arches. You can set out to the seventh and eighth braziers from here.

Seventh Brazier Location
From the Worshippers’ Woods site of grace, follow the path north, past a few Ancestral Worshiper Spirits who are stomp-dancing their hearts out. Continue up the path,under a broken archway, and you’ll eventually reach the seventh brazier on the trodden path. You will have to contend with two Ancestral Follower Spirits and several rats guarding the brazier, but once they’re taken care of, you’re free to light the seventh brazier.
Eighth Brazier Location
The eighth and final brazier is located just west of the seventh, but you’ll need to head north and loop back south to reach it, as it’s up on ahigher plateau. Be careful in this area; several Ancestral Follower Spirit archers are lurking about, and the area is patrolled by fairly aggressive rats. Once you reach the brazier, you’ll find it guarded by two Ancient Follower Spirits, four smaller rats, and one giant rat. It’s probably best to pull the rats and deal with them first, then backstab the two Ancestral Follower Spirits.
After lighting the brazier, and you will receive the message: “Power gathers somewhere in horned remains.”
Return to the Siofra River Bank site of grace. With the eight braziers lit, you can now challenge the Ancestor Spirit boss, accessible by interacting with its bones in theHollowhorn Grounds, which are located just to the east of the Siofra River Bank site of grace. After defeating the Ancestor Spirit boss, you will acquire theAncestral Follower Spirit Ashes.
