It has been a long time sinceElden Ringwas released, and gamers are still awaiting that long-expectedShadow of the ErdtreeDLC that was teased all those months ago. Even thoughElden Ringisn’t even two years old yet, there are some elements of the game that many players feel can be improved, whether that be the combat, the environment, or the characters that are involved in the game’s story.
There are plenty of things that can be improved on, no matter how minor, and thanks to these mods fromNexusMods, which have been created by hundreds ofElden Ringplayers around the world, there is nearly a mod to fill every need.
Mind-Blowing Mod is an Absolute Must if You Want to Experience Elden Ring the Right Way
However, there are some mods that clearly stand out above the rest, as players have been downloading them for ages and using them for just as long, just like the Seamless co-op mod, which focuses on cleaning up the multiplayer experience that is available withinElden Ring, creating better connections, allowing your teammates to help you more, and just in general fixing small glitches that FromSoftware hasn’t yet.
Another mod that players have created to improve the quality of the game is theElden Ringitem and enemy randomiser, which can be used to change the locations and spawns of certain enemies, which provides a player with a whole new game experience, but there are a few downsides to this as it can cause ridiculously tough enemies to spawn in an unsuitable location, causing a potential lockout in the game.
Additionally, there is a massive mod that pretty much entirely changes the game itself, and that is called The Convergence. This mod allows players to add in weapons, spells, change areas, alter the map itself, and so much more, effectively turning the player into a developer for the game.
Why Are These Mods So Popular Within the Elden Ring Community?
One of the main reasons these mods are so popular with gamers is just the fact that they provide some sense of randomness in a game that most of these gamers will have played to death. For a lot of players, it is fun to replay a game and try something entirely new.
However, once you have tried being a magic user, a two-handed sword wielder, or just trying it with a stick, the game will always get boring eventually. This leads to gamers looking towards mods to bring a whole new sense to the game and provide them with a new experience that even the developers couldn’t think of.

This leaves moderators to fill in the blanks, as there are some things that FromSoftware may not either think of or are willing to put into the game as it would cause the game to become too hard. Like this random loot and enemies, which could cause so many issues for casual players who are just looking to learn a route and take it.
Even though this is a challenge for most gamers, for the professionals who enjoy the challenge, these mods are something that can make the game so much more fun, to the point where some have created their own mods to cause the game to become even harder just for themselves.
