Fighter’s ResolveandRetaliatego hand in hand for Raider. As Raider takes damage, his passive ability, Fighter’s Resolve, increases the potency of Retaliate. This allows Raider to absorb damage and inflict it back on the enemy. In other times, taking damage as Raider can be beneficial.
Totem Stela, Raider’s Ultimate Art, summons a giant tombstone that not only deals damage, but it increases the damage output of all teammates who are near it. Additionally, players can climb it to get above the enemy and take a breather. While on top of the tombstone, you can heal and take consumables without taking damage.
Best Weapons
Considering Raider is a Strength focused character,he’s at his best when using large weapons. I recommend shooting forGreataxesorHammersdue to their ease of use and ability to break stances, leaving enemies in a staggered state.I don’t recommend using stabbing weaponssuch as Spears.
When looting weapons on expeditions, it would be wise toselect ones that offer a skill. Even though Raider is primarily a Strength character, he also has MP to execute weapon skills, which can deal massive damage in a pinch.

My favorite is the Regal Beastclaw skill fromthe Beastclaw Greathammer, which has the user shooting off waves of claws in all directions, damaging multiple enemies. Another great one is the Spinning Wheel skill from Ghiza’s Wheel, which continuously deals damage for as long as you hold the button.
Unfortunately, due to the RNG nature of Elden Ring Nightreign, there’s no guarantee that you’ll find Greataxes or Hammers on your expedition. However, to increase your chances, make sure to search all outposts, defeat as many mini-bosses at the points of interest as you may, and loot everywhere.
Best Relics
Elden Ring Nightreign has an endless number of Relics to choose from. They come in the form of three colors: Red, Yellow, and Green. When selecting Relics for Raider, there are a few ways to go about it to make him truly shine on an expedition.
First,increasing Raider’s Strength, Vigor, and Endurance statsas much as possible through relics is a smart choice, as it’ll allow him to deal more damage and increase his survivability. Or perhaps, if you want to increase how fast Raider’s skills and ultimate recharge, then there are Relics that offer that benefit.

One great Relic for Raider is theTorn-Braided Cord, a Relic that’s earned bycompleting his first Remembrance. It offers a +3 to Strength and improved attack power and stamina if taking damage while using his Character Skill, Respite.
Night of the Fathomis another great choice for Relic as it provides an increase to maximum HP, allows flasks to also heal allies, and items affect all nearby allies. This is a great choice, because it not only helps you, but your teammates as well. Players can acquire this by completing the Augur expedition.
You could also choose Relics to fit the Nightlord you’re about to hunt. For example, the Nightlord of the Sentient Pest expedition is weak to fire, so it may be smart to select a Relic that increases Fire attacks. Just make sure you loot Fire grease on the expedition.
Remember, if you don’t have the appropriate color slots to insert the appropriate Relics, make sure topurchase a Goblet.
Raider Expedition Strategies

That last bullet point is really important. Remember, you don’t need to have a weapon equipped in your hand to activate the buffs. They just need to be in your inventory. However,if a buff has a red hand next to it, that means the weapondoesneed to be equipped.
Best Team Composition
Unless you plan onplaying Elden Ring Nightreign solo(which I don’t really recommend due to the high difficulty), Raider is only as good as his team.
It’s important to have the right team composition to help Raider shine. I recommend having Ironeye and Duchess.
Ironeye is arguably the best character in the game and should be on any team due to his ability torevive teammates from a distanceand easily hit flying enemies. I can’t tell you the number of times Ironeye revived me from near death, but it’sa ton.
Having Ironeye nearbycan help you collect rarer loot dueto his passive ability, Eagle Eye, which reveals more items from foes. This will allow you to get a strong version of the recommended weapons mentioned earlier much quicker.
Duchess is a great teammatefor Raider due to herRestageCharacter skill and Finale Ultimate. The latter repeats the half the damage you inflicted on an enemy a few seconds ago. In other words, this can make Raider’s already potent attacks hitextrahard.
As forFinale, this Ultimate will make you and your teammates invisible. Due to Raider’s slow attack speed, and how it can sometimes be tough to get close to a fast target, going invisible can help big time as it’ll allow you to get free swings.
