To save you some time in your quest to find this sword, here is the information about its location and everything you need to know about how to best use the Zweihander.

As stated before, you cannot find the Zweihander lying around in a dungeon. Instead, you willneed to purchase itfrom a specific merchant in the game.
This merchant iscalled the Isolated Merchant, as they are off on their own, far away from other people and creatures in the game world. Their location is even called the Isolated Merchant Shack to nail this down even further.
In order to find the Isolated Merchant and their shack, head to the very south of Limgrave when you first enter the open world after the tutorial. Cross the bridge to the Weeping Peninsula and thenhead to the west partof the area.
You will come across the Isolated Merchant, and speaking with them, you will begin the conversation to purchase their goods, including the Zweihander, which willcost you a pretty 3,500 Runes.

Thereare a few different thingsthat you will need to do tobring your Zweihander to its peak, and here are all the details you need to knowabout this build.
The sword itself scales withStrength and Dexterity at D,so if you want to stick with the base version of the weapon, you will want to focus on leveling up those stats.
However, it is recommended to gofor the Zweihander Occult +25, as this is generally considered the best version of the weapon in the game. This means that Arcane is going to be your friend as well to pump stats into.

In terms of stats,Strength is obviously a big oneas the Zweihander scales well with it, so you will want to put a lot into that section. Here is the basic breakdown of where you will want to get your character eventually when you hit Level 150 through leveling them up at Sites of Grace:
Mind and Intelligence have been left off this list, asthey are not that importantto making this build work. Of course, you can pump more stats into them once you have reached 150, but when building, these two are just not that important.

Incantation originating from a sinister prophecy. Momentarily sparks flame from the caster’s hand. This incantation can be cast without delay after performing another action. The flame of ruin is anathema to the Erdtree. But prophets sometimes glimpse it within the faith all the same. Sadly when this occurs their sole reward is banishment.
Swarm of Flies
A Blood Oath incantation, shared from the Lord of Blood’s power. Releases a swarm of bloodflies before the caster to assault foes. The vile swarm deals damage and builds up onset of blood loss. This incantation can be cast while in motion. The new palace of the Lord of Blood lies in a swamp of festering blood, and these flies are said to spawn from excrement in that land.
Sacred incantation of Mohg, Lord of Blood. Thrust arm into the body of the Formless Mother, then scatter the bloodflame to set the area ablaze. This incantation can be cast while in motion. The mother of truth craves wounds. When Mohg stood before her, deep underground, his accursed blood erupted with fire, and besotted with the defilement that he was born into.
Flame, Grant Me Strength
Superior incantation of the Fire Monks. Creates an invigorating fire within that enhances physical and fire-affinity attack power. This incantation does not burn the caster, and so it is considered forbidden by the guardians of the Flame.
Most of these are based ondealing Fire damage, but as mentioned, the most important thing is how they build off of Arcane. Further, a good chunk of them will create AoE damage so that you’re able to still use your Zweihander to combine the different sources of damage.
