Elden Ringis the first Souls-borne game with a fully open world map for players to explore. There are hundreds of bosses to fight, each being very difficult even for those who are fully prepared. While there are enough bosses to always keep you busy, this game is also full of surprises to keep you on your toes.

Each regular boss has the usual health bar at the bottom in a locked-off area, but there are a few mini-bosses who can pose just as much of a challenge. The Divine Bridge Golem is one of those mini-bosses that are already difficult, and even more so for those who stumble across him in the game’s early hours. This boss is located on the other end of a trapped chest along thesouthern island, which teleports players to this late-game enemies location when you’re usually unprepared to fight it.
Melee Strategy
Melee builds will find a bit more trouble with this boss, as its legs are heavily armored, and its weak spot is its chest and head. Your goal while fighting is todo enough damage on its legs to knock it downto deal withyour strongest attacks on those weak spots. Its heaviest-hitting moves are also melee attacks, putting you at high risk when trying to knock it down.
Many of its attacks will come from its axe, butit has different patterns keeping you from getting too comfortablein a set rhythm. When it attacks with the axe’s blade, don’t jump right into your counterattacks; instead, wait to make sure it’s a single attack and not a double. Most of this boss' attacks are melee with no elemental bonuses, so bringarmor that either lets you dodge quickly or negates a ton of physical damage. It does also have a flame breath attack, but you shouldn’t use it very often.

Ranged Strategy
Most ranged builds don’t sport a large health pool with heavy armor, allowing this boss to take you out with a single attack in many instances. Whileall of this boss' attacks are melee or close range, its axe is very long, giving it a surprising reach. Unless you’re playing a tankier build, be sure tomove fast and don’t get greedy,as a single hit from this boss may knock you out.
With a ranged build, you don’t need to worry about knocking the boss down, asyou can target its weak points while it is standing. Whileyou can focus your spellson knocking it down and take it briefly out of combat, this will, on average, lead to a longer fight overall.Focus your best attacks on its chestand move after a single attack, as it will constantly attempt to close the distance.Always dodge backwardto give yourself more space and use the time during its attacks to counterattack out of range.
