Dying Light 2has been finally released after a few hiccups along the way, and fans are eager to learn more about the graphics and performance mode that is present in the game.
Games these days have multiple graphic modes which make it much easier for players. Instead of tweaking each and every setting out there, developers have incorporated pre-defined modes which help you get your desired performance.
Dying Light 2 Graphics & Performance Mode Explained
In Dying Light 2, there are three modes, and here is all you need to know about it.
Performance Mode
If you don’t care much about the graphical quality much and are looking to achieve a higher frame rate and struggling to find a sweet spot, then this is the mode you are looking for. Basically, the performance mode tweaks the settings in such a way that you are able to get 60FPS while playing the game. Now obviously, if you are getting that performance, the visual quality of the game will take a hit. It doesn’t look that bad in the performance mode, but it does give a hassle-free experience.
Quality Mode
Dying Light 2’s Quality mode sacrifices the performance to give you much better visuals in the game with ray tracing. However, the price you pay for it is the performance of the game. Frame rates get inconsistent while playing the game at times, and the graphics do get quite weird too, but you get those realistic reflections and lighting in return.
Resolution Mode
This would sound quite similar to the quality mode, but there is a slight difference. The quality mode focuses on maximizing the graphical quality while the resolution mode focuses entirely on the resolution. That is, you will be able to 4K resolution. However, the graphical quality takes a hit. You will find everything much crisper, but the intricate details will be missing since the graphical settings won’t be the highest. On top of that, the performance will also be affected, so you’re able to’t expect 60FPS as well.
