Glimmercoal is an item you must gather for theSteeled Resolve, Blazing Forgequest, but it also has other uses. Unfortunately, the areas where you can find thisresource are limited, treacherous, and not easy to spot unless the conditions are just right.

Farm Glimmercoal In Digger’s Ruins
Glimmercoal is a material found in Digger’s Ruins justsouthwest ofBakbatthal. You will head west out of Bakbatthal, take your first left, then follow that path until you come to a T. At the T, take a left, and you will follow that directly to the ruins.
If you turn off all the lights, including your lantern, you’ll see that Glimmercoal will grow a bright green. There is also a synthetic Glimmercoal spelled “Glymercoal” that may not be worth as much as the real mineral. Glymercoal will give you the option to Examine rather than Gather when you get close to it.
The fake stones will not glow nearly as brightly as the real ones. Not only do you need this resource for Sara in Bakbatthal, but gathering Glimmercoal is an easy way to farm gold. Typically, a genuine piece of Glimmercoal can besold for around 180 G. It’s unclear just how much Glimmercoal there is throughout the entire cave, but you could easily make over 20,000 Gold in one run.
After resting for a day or so, the Glimmercoal will repopulate!
Rather than sell it, you can alsogift Glimmercoalto various NPCs. If yougift this item to an NPCthat likes Glimmercoal,you will gain 6 points of favor. If you wish toduplicate this item at the Forger, it will cost roughly 720 G, though this price may vary.
Tips For Gathering Glimmercoal
You will want to haveenough room in your inventoryas well as your Pawn’s inventory. Be sure to put non-essentials in storage prior to gathering Glimmercoal as it can add weight quickly to your character and slow you down.
If you arethe Warfarer Vocation, or eventhe Sorcerer Vocation, an archistave will let you utilize Galvanize, so you’re able to move through the cave faster than normal. There will bea Minotaur that spawnsin the cave along with various other enemies, so aMagick Archerutilizing theRicochet weapon skill will work well against the enemies here, especially with the Minotaur.
