Dragon’s Dogma 2
Tomb of Al’Guttos Prerequisites
Although you can probably power your way through most encounters in the game, the Tomb of Al’Guttos is not one you’ll want to take lightly. There are dozens of high-level skeleton warriors and sorcerers inside, zombies, and one of the most challenging mini-bosses in the game.
Because of this, you’ll need tomake sure you andyour pawnsare at least level 30 before deciding to venture inside. This will make sure you are an even match for the enemies you’ll face. In addition, theenemies inside will use a lot of freezing spells, so you’ll want tostock up on somewarming salve potionsto help counter their attacks, especially when they freeze your entire party in place. Finally, make sure you have at least two Waking Stonesin your inventory. There is a good chance the skeleton sorcerers or the boss will get the better of you, and you’ll want to be prepared to avoid having to repeat the dungeon.

Dragon’s Dogma 2: How To Level Up Fast
Dragon’s Dogma offers many ways for players to quickly earn XP and level up their Arisen and Pawn; here’s how to do it quickly.
Tomb of Al’Guttos Location And Map
You’ll find the tomb located on the western edge of Battahl as seen on the world map image above. You’ll need to follow the river down toward the tomb, taking out a dozen or so poisonous saurians and some bandits along the way. Once you reach the tomb, you’ll be able to camp and heal up before you enter, so don’t worry if you lose a little health getting there.
Once you are inside the tomb, you’ll find three main chambers. The first will branch in many directions and primarily be filled with skeleton warriors and sorcerers. The second chamber will be a more cramped, catacomb-type area filled with zombies. And the final chamber, found in the northwest of the tomb map, will be where you face the boss. Be sure to do a quick save after completing each area.

Pre-Boss Battle Strategy
By far, the toughest group of enemies before you reach the boss are the skeletons in the first room. They may seem easy to take out at first, but they will quickly pop up from all nooks and crannies in this area and can easily overwhelm you. The skeleton sorcerers are especially troublesome as their ice spells can freeze you in place, leaving you vulnerable to the warriors’ attacks. Focus on taking out the sorcerers first while your pawns maintain the warriors and you should make it through without having to use one of those Waking Stones you brought with you.
In the catacomb area ahead, you’ll face a few slow-moving zombie enemies. This area is pretty easy to get through so long as you don’t let any of them sneak up on you. Try to knock the zombies down and do some finishing blows to take them out quickly and you’ll make it through this area with no issues.

Dragon’s Dogma 2: Every Vocation, Ranked
Vocations determine the weapons, skills, armor, and overall play style of a character in Dragon’s Dogma 2; here are all ten vocations, ranked.
Tomb of Al’Guttos Boss Battle
The hardest part of this entire mini-dungeon is by far the boss battle. In the final chamber, you’ll face a powerful Lith (wraith-like enemy), Al’Guttos himself. As he casts spells down on you from above, you’ll also have to face off against a greatsword-wielding skeleton champion, The Skeleton Lord, the hardest and rarest of all skeleton-type enemies in the game. In addition, the wraith of Al’Guttos will also summon skeleton sorcerers and warriors, as well as zombies, to attack you as well.
The Skeleton Lord will be very hard to stun, so even as you unleash your more powerful attacks, he’ll keep swinging his big sword at you. As your pawns focus on the skeleton minions, focus most of your attention on the Skeleton Lord. Once you finally drain his health, the Lith of Al’Guttos will drop to the floor, giving you a few moments to unleash your attacks on him before he returns to the air and revives the Skeleton Lord for another round. It is possible to focus your attacks more directly on the Lith while he is in the air. Doing so can eventually stun him and trigger the same opportunity to drain his health. This can be harder to achieve though while you are still facing off against the Skeleton Lord and all the minions, so prioritize them if you find yourself taking too much damage.

You’ll need to repeat this process a few times in order to drain all the Lith’s health bars and take him down permanently. Each round gets a bit tougher, with the enemy minions becoming more formidable. In the final round, the Lith will summon exploding zombies that can quickly KO you and your party. Prioritize taking them out quickly and dodging their explosions, and then refocus on the Skeleton Lord and Lith.
Tomb of Al’Guttos Rewards
As you take out the weaker enemies in the first two chambers, you’ll collect a lot ofastracite, scrap iron, putrid gold teeth, as well as some qualityore. All of these materials are rare on their own, which makes collecting them alone quite the bounty.
But the real rewards come after defeating Al’Guttos in the final battle. Once he is defeated, you’ll be able to collect his rare armor for your collection. This includes theVisionary Mask,Saint Idreum’s Stole, and theEnigmatic Robe. These are some of the best armor pieces you’re able to collect for the Trickster Vocation.
