If you were hoping for some loyalty and secrecy from your pawns inDragon’s Dogma 2, you might want to think again. These companions who really do go out of their way for their master can be seen doing some truly heroic stuff like opening chests, collecting ingredients, taking on monsters andeven catching playerswhen they fall, but if you thought your extracurricular activities went unnoticed when visiting a certain brothel, pawns won’t be shy when spilling your secrets to other players when hired.
The takeaway? Pawnsdo notmake good wingmen.

Pawns Can’t Keep Their Mouths Shut
Dragon’s Dogma 2 has some of the best loyal and fearless companions I’ve personally witnessed in a game. Sure, there are other games where your brave allies go above and beyond to fight the heavens and earth alongside you, but these pawns really do go that extra mile - so much so that they don’t know when to keep their traps shut and take any opportunity to gush about you to other players.
Just in case you didn’t know, there’s a brothel in Dragon’s Dogma 2 called theRose Château Bordelriein Vernworth. If you happen to become a little bored with fighting trolls, goblins, or skeletons, you’re able to give your Arisen a bit of “refreshment” by visiting the said establishment for 20k gold and taking on the company of either a human or beastren.
As pointed out byWindows Central’s Brendan Lowry, while your Arisen is in the throes of passion, pawns stand outside the room and instead of doing anything else less creepy, they take notes of your activities so they can gossip to other players about it later.
Throughout Lowry’s playthrough, they said that they encountered many pawns telling them in a conversation of their former master’s activities at the brothel, with one boldly saying “The private quarters of one Arisen I served had many a visitor, and rarely the same one.”. At the same time, another spilled the tea by stating that their Arisen “prefers the company” of humans or beastren. So, it’s safe to say that as amazing and helpful as these pawns are, they are also big mouths that need to find something else to do while you’re having some deserved fun!
If you’ve happened to notice, while recruiting other pawns in The Rift, that most are women, it seems as though this is down to atrend by the players, and not something that Capcom has created.
