Dragon'’s Dogma 2isn’t the kind of game that tries to frustrate players. Rather, it is a game that is built on a foundation of exploration, role-playing, and intense battling. Warrior is one of the best vocations in Dragon’s Dogma 2, but you’ll be an even better if you use the best weapon skills.
For example, falling in DD2 is brutal. If the height is even a little too high, you will immediately die. Worry not, there are a few ways you can mitigate this fall damage and save yourself from dozens of minutes scouring the area for a way down.

Core Skills And Augments
There aren’t any skills that can completely remove fall damage. However, one of thefighter’s core skillscan reduce how much damage you take from falling down. The skill,Steeled Foundationcosts400 DPto unlock for the fighter class and becomes available atfighter Level 3. According to the in-game description, “Uses the shield to ease the impact from falling. Reduces fall damage and hastens recovery after a fall.” Once unlocked, you’ll only need to hold down the block button to use your shield, reducing the amount of damage you take.
Unfortunately, this doesn’t reduce the total amount of damage you take by a lot, still resulting in death from larger falls. But, you can get up much faster after falling, and it’s useful for shorter hops down the mountainside, or on city roofs.
Similarly, you’re able to unlock aMagick Archer Augmentcalled"Resilience.“This augment can be bought once you reachVocation Level 6and costs4000 Discipline Pointsto unlock. It’s a passive augment that halves the amount of fall damage you receive, making it more effective than the fighter alternative. It’s especially useful when you aren’t able to control your dash and end up flying off a cliff in the mountainside.
The Pawn Method
A much better method, though more difficult to execute in practice, is by using pawns. If you’re climbing a large cliff or statue knowing that you’ll need to climb down soon after, this method is a lifesaver that will save you a lot of time.
Command your pawn to stay at the base of the desired cliff, high rise building, tree, or statue, and do the dirty work of climbing all the way up to get what you want to get. Then, just jump in the general area where your pawn is waiting. They will run towards you and catch you. Make sure you’re not too far away to prevent any accidents, and save the game beforehand just in case the exercise doesn’t go as planned.
Additionally, you can use this method to climb down almost unreachable areas if you are aMagick Archer. Grab your pawn, throw them down to the desired location, andrevive them with aRemedy Arrow. Then, jump down and watch as the now-revived pawn catches you, preventing any damage whatsoever.
