A man in Bakbattah by the name of Emerich sells Saurian Tails in the Residential District at night (near the Dye Pools). Employ his services to quickly convert Fruit Wine into Newt Liqueur.
How To Get Newt Liqueur
There are four methods of gettingNewt Liqueurin the game.
Make your way to the road circling around the southern part ofBakbattahland you’ll encounter an NPC named Earlund selling Newt Liqueur for 2000 Gold. He only sells this once.
Higgs’s Tavern Stand
After buying the Newt Liqueur from Earland, he’ll relocate to the middle of the marketplace, talking to a Beastren about a ‘tavern that sells Newt Liqueur’ if you follow a very specific series of steps. The Tavern he is talking about is the Higgs’s Tavern Stand near the Residential District. If you’re a human, you’ll need to put on aBeastren Mask(purchased from the vendor outside the city or from Ibrahim’s Scrap Store in Checkpoint Rest Town). If you’re Beastren, you’re good to go. Walk up to the Tavern, and you’ll notice a couple of sandbags near a fenced-off area.Pick up a sandbag (Grab action) and drop it inside the pen.If done correctly, this will trigger a cutscene where the shop’s door will be opened to you, and you’ll be led inside via the stairs on the side. Once unlocked, you’ll be able to buy three Newt Liqueur bottles from this shop for5000 Goldeach.
If you mess up and go through the steps without a Beastren Mask on, the shop owner and the surrounding guards will become permanently hostile.
Volcanic Island (Windwalker’s Home)
You’ll find the Windwalker’s homewest ofVolcanic Island Camp, accessible either by progressing the main story or taking the shortcut viaDrabnir’s Grottosouthwest of Bakbattahl. This is where you get theMagick Archer vocationby completing the ‘Put a Spring in thy Step’ quest for Gautstafr. Just inside this house, you’ll find aNewt Liqueur sitting on the table.
