Dragon’s Dogma 2drops you into the world with a fair bit of confusion, expecting you to learn as you go. It will introduce you to theCombining Materials mechanic, which allows you to craft different items together to create things like potions. How To Start The Provisioner’s Plight
After arriving in Borderwatch Outpost, head toward the middle of camp to findGeoffrey, a merchant. He’d sent out his companion, Markus, to gather some supplies, but he has some additional items he needs Markus to bring back.
There won’t be a quest marker here for Geoffrey — seek him out and speak with him, and you’ll begin this quest.
Where To Find Markus
Once you have the quest, you’ll want to head north up the road to find Markus. His location is marked in ared circle on the map above. You’ll find Markus on a bluff above the winding road, reviewing his notes.
Deliver him the Privisioner’s Note to proceed to the next quest step. Markus isn’t too pleased with the extra work, so he asks you to complete the task of gathering the final few items.
How To Get The Items For Markus
To get the 5 total items, you’ll actually need to gather 7. Fortunately, the required items are easily gathered in the surrounding area, so you won’t need to venture too far afield.

The Harspuds can be found around the area pretty easily.
There aremultiple kinds of Harspudsin the area (I found 2 Princess Harspuds and 1 Ripened Harspud). You just need 3 different Harspuds to meet the requirement.
How To Craft Salubrious Draught
For theSalubrious Draught, you’ll actuallyneed to combine a couple of itemsto craft them. In order to craft the Salubrious Draught potion, you’ll need to gather:
Greenwarish is going to be a core resource moving forward in your time with Dragon’s Dogma 2, as it’s the main ingredient for crafting these healing potions. Greenwarish and other weeds can combine with multiple items to create a variety ofhealing potionsthat will becomecritical against the tougher enemies in the game.
The Provisioner’s Plight Rewards
Once you bring the 3 Harspuds and 2 Salubrious Draughts to Markus, he’ll gift you in return Waking Powder x1, which acts as a cure for the Sleep condition. This isn’t your only reward, however!
Return to Geoffrey back in Borderwatch Outpost, speak with him, and he’ll be thrilled at your returned supplies.
