How To Save Properly
To save your game, open themain menu and scroll to “System"with the following menu offering Save and Continue, Save and Return to Title Screen, and Return to Title Screen Without Saving. Each of these options functions as advertised, but it’s important to understand that thesave file made from the first two options can’t be exactly loaded back to when desired.
As players play the game,auto-save files will be made, and the recent save file will be replaced,as indicated by the red ring in the top right corner of the screen. These auto-save files will overwrite any manually saved file, makingresting at an Inn or bed a more solidified save file.Spending the goldand resting at an Inn or any bed in a home or rented home will create a save file there that can be accessed from the main menu when loading into the game or upon death. Toensure your progress is safe, rest at an Inn,as this alsogives you a save file to go back tobefore making a decision with potentially bad consequences.
