TheDragon Ballfranchise is almost four decades old and has gifted the fans several memorable moments. From Grandpa Gohan adapting Goku to the latter’s mastered Ultra Instinct transformation, it has truly been one of the greatest stories ever told. The worldwide popularity of the series has led to the creation of multiple fan theories. While some fan theories are interesting, others are not so great.
Goku and Vegeta traversed perilous roads until they overcame all the odds to become the most potent protagonists. Even though Goku’s latest transformation is Ultra Instinct, the latest fan theory suggests that there is another transformation that might soon come to the surface. The transformation was hinted at during the Cell Saga inDragon Ball Z.
Goku Might Have Another Transformation in Store
Dragon Ball Super’s Tournament of Power saw Goku fully master Ultra Instinct and fight Jiren. Ultra Instinct is a rare transformation, and even the Gods have trouble attaining that form. It requires utmost control of one’s Ki and mental discipline. Even though it is shown to be the ultimate transformation, there might be another transformation in line to take place. The Cell Games hinted that something greater than Ultra Instinct is possible.
During the Cell Games, Goku andGohanspend a considerable amount of time training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. After they came out, they were always in their Super Saiyan form. Super Saiyan is a transformation that takes place due to rage. To overcome this, the father-son duo tried to maintain their Ki consumption in that form minimal. It helped them to attain a new form, which is an ascended Super Saiyan.
Following that logic, Goku could enter the Hyperbolic Time Chamber again in the Super Saiyan God mode and train to master Ultra Instinct in that form. Master Ultra Instinct in Super Saiyan God sounds like it could wipe the entire universe in one blow.
Goku is not a God but a mere mortal. He achieved the Ultra Instinct, which is rare even among the Gods. If he combines it with his most potent transformation, it could break the internet once again.

Combining Ultra Instinct with Super Saiyan God may sound bizarre, but theDragon Ballfranchiseis familiar with this kind of stuff. When Goku fought Hit, he combined Kaio-ken with Super Saiyan Blue to reach the maximum output of his power. But it was an explosive form, which took out a lot of his stamina. Ultra Instinct also drains a lot of stamina, so training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber could prove to be fruitful.
The Cell Games showed the difference between a raged Super Saiyan and an ascended Super Saiyan. Vegeta and Trunks used their rage to amplify their power, which led to their downfall, but Goku and Gohan learned to control their Ki and discipline themselves when dealing with strong emotions. With Black Frieza knocking out Goku and Vegeta in one hit, the transformation might not be that far.

The Hyperbolic Time Chamber is the best way to reap the fruits of hard work. The combination of Ultra Instinct and Super Saiyan God sounds fascinating, but it is still a fan theory. Until the creator decides to confirm it or show it in the manga, it will remain just that, a theory.
