The Demon Realm inDragon BallExplained

The Demon Realm is a dark and shadowy world that is located on the reverse side of the universe. It is the lower half of the living world, not to be confused with hell. The realm is filled with magic, and it was created by the wizards that were trapped inside it, and it harbors almost all of the demon race of theDragon Ballworld.

It was first introduced during the Fortuneteller Baba Saga, with Shula being the main antagonist of the narrative. The Demon Realm has also given rise to many other villains of theDragon Balluniverse, including Dabura, Janemba, Fu, Demigra, etc. Thus, it was an extremely crucial element of theDragon Balluniverse for the longest time.

However, as the narrative broadened with the inclusion of other universes and their antagonists, theDemon Realm lost its importancein the story. While it is still mentioned here and there in video games and fan fiction, the main narrative doesn’t really focus much on the evil concept.
