This has onlysparked fan hopes for the remasterthey have been desiring for ages. The classic action-adventure video game was developed by Crystal Dynamics for PS1 and Windows back in 1999 and it reached the Dreamcast in 2000.
Soul Reaver IIis the direct sequel 1500 years after the first game, this classic is a journey of the vampire-turned-wraith Raziel, lieutenant to the vampire lord Kain.
The last game in the franchiseDefiance, was released in 2003 for PS2, PC, and the original Xbox. Two decades later, there is still hope for the franchise. Back in October 2022, Crystal Dynamics shared a survey with fans if they would want a new game in the franchise.
While the Embracer Group (owner of Crystal Dynamics) didn’t reveal the official result, the company said that there might be a new game in development.
