Black Ops 6is the upcoming, highly anticipated instalment in theBlack Opssubseries ofCall of Duty. Cosmetics have almost become indispensable to the experience of the shooting series with the latest titles.

The trouble began when, recently, it was stated that no items from the two previous titles would be carried over to the upcoming game. After this, fans are visibly and understandably livid and argue that the game should go back to the good old days and do away with flashy skins altogether.
A Frustrated Call of Duty Player’s Proposition to the Black Ops 6’s No Cosmetic Carry-Over Situation
Since Treyarch began with its covertBlack Ops 6marketing, fans have been boarding the hype train in numbers. From references to 9/11 to posters teasing Saddam Hussein’s face, the upcoming game’s subject matter looked controversial, and fans seemed on board for it.

However, as with any upcoming title, some incredibly disappointing confirmations were made. This included Treyarchconfirmingthat the content ofModern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare 3will not carry forward to the upcoming game.
The studio also statedthat Warzone, fortunately, will be receiving a carry-forward system with items from the two previous titles and the upcoming game integrated into it. Amid this, a player expressed this frustration and stated this on the game’s subreddit:

Essentially, the player argues that if skins aren’t being carried forward into the game, it doesn’t make sense for the game to have premium, flashy skins. This, however, is far from realistic, and fans seemed to remind the fans of this in the comments.

After the above post on the subreddit, fans began reminding OP that this wouldn’t be feasible and that others like flashy bundles. So, removing such flashy skins won’t be a possibility:
For the no-carry-forward situation, there was another post made on the subreddit one month before this one asking for the same thing:

While it is unclear if this is happening because a different developer,Treyarchis developingBlack Ops 6or anything else, regardless, the discontentment is apparent, it also makes sense because many times, people pay money for cosmetics and not being able to use them is a bummer.
What do you think of the upcoming game not carrying forward any items from the previous two games? Will it provide a fresh start or add to players’ frustrations? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
