Abattoir of Zir is an upcoming endgame event forDiablo 4, set for release on December 5.
If you know anything about Diablo players, you know they love a challenge. Well, according to ARPG content creatorWudijo, who had the opportunity to preview Abattoir of Zir, the upcoming event is going to be brutally difficult (thanks,Wowhead).
Wudijo compares the upcoming event to greater/challenge rifts from Diablo 3 and says that even the strongest builds are going to struggle as the tier, which ranges from 1 to 25, scales up.

Impossible to Finish?
“As far as I’m aware, you’re not really supposed to finish the last tier. So, even the HotA Barbarians and Ball Lightning Sorcerers are not supposed to go all the way. This is supposed to be some kind of infinitely difficult challenge at release,” Wudijo explained.
He says that every class can avail of a Tears of Blood glyph that can be levelled up 200 times by completing Abatoir of Zir tiers. The glyph provides multiplicative percentage damage based on core stats. Wudijo believes this glyph is so powerful that it will trivialise everything else in the game except the upcoming event.
Interestingly, he revealed that the monster level in Abatoir of Zir scales higher than the maximum level of monsters in Nightmare Dungeon Tier 100 which is 154.
Wudijo also added that since monster damage doesn’t scale too much, he believes the primary challenge for players will be the monster’s health. High damage-per-second and single-target damage builds are going to be crucial to succeed.

With the consensus among players being that Diablo 4 is currently too easy, the purported difficulty of this event’s higher tiers is going to go down a treat with the community.
