You may be stuck wondering how to start a party, as it may not be the most obvious thing at first. However, once you do know what you are doing,it really is a breezeto team up with both people you know, and even some randoms, whenever you want.

Regardless of which kind of person you want to join up with, you will want to highlight their name and select it. This will bring up a small menu with a lot of options. You are going to want toselect the “Invite to Party” option, which is the fourth one. This will send an invite to the player, and if they accept it, they will join your party.
you’re able to also choose to join their party with the"Request to Join Party" option. This will require them to approve it, and once they do, you can play with them in a group.

You can also approach random players in the open world andpress E on the keyboard or up on the controller D-Padto bring up the wheel. You can then select to invite them to your party on the right side of the wheel.

It’s as easy as that, and is something that is absolutely recommended for any and all players in Diablo 4. Not only does it make the game more fun to have companions, but you will alsoreceive a 10% XP bufffor as long as you are playing with someone in your party.
Even better, you don’t have to worry about theXP and geargetting messed up if you are joining a lower level, as itscales to your levelall the time. This means you will alwaysget the XPyou need to get at your level.

The only thing to keep in mind is story progression: you will be fine as long you are all at the same point in the story, but if not, then the storywill be based on the host player’s progress. This means that you run the risk of spoilers if you are not as far as the person you are joining.
