InDestiny 2, the Dawning is back to spread festive cheer and end 2024, and there are some delicious rewards to be had. Using ingredients gathered from different activities, Guardians can bake cookies in Eva Levante’s special oven and deliver them to their favorite NPCs for loot, which includes a recently created Linear Fusion Rifle.
For one Gift in Return and 25 Dawning Spirit per copy, Eva can be targeted by Mistral Lift and Dawning weapons that were added in prior years. From personal experience, the former is a rare reward for delivering cookies, so that’s a bit of a steep ask. However, it takes a lot when you are talking about the Mistral Lift LFR.

You must buy the Giftwrapped and Limited Exchange Tickets for a total of 70 Dawning Spirit in order to be able to focus weapons at Eva. Getting the Perky Presents upgrade for an additional 35 Dawning Spirit is also highly advised because it increases the likelihood that each weapon will drop with several perks in the left column. This is especially crucial when it comes to Mistral Lift, as there are two very different god rolls that you should be aware of.

With amazing rolls available for both pure DPS and support-focused damage, Mistral Lift has by far the most versatile perk pool of any Linear Fusion Rifle available inDestiny 2as ofEpisode Revenant. Prioritize the Arrowhead Brake and the Enhanced Battery because they will significantly reduce recoil and increase magazine size, respectively.

Mistral Lift was designed to be a PvE boss-killing machine, and it has many perk combinations that will make it a mainstay in the inventory. You can stick with the tried-and-true Bait and Switch strategy, which complements the new perk Envious Arsenal to perfection. This weapon would have been great on apopular PvP mode, which Bungie should reprise.
Divergence starts with basic trait perks. Envious Arsenal with Bait and Switch is the first popular combination because they work well together. After dealing damage with your other two weapons, the former will automatically reload Mistral Lift from reserves, and the latter will give you a 10% damage boost for 10 seconds.
You can also retool Mistral Lift into the Linear Fusion equivalent of Divinity by following the path of Withering Gaze and Precision Instrument. After a brief ADS delay, the former perk weakens targets, while the latter preserves some DPS functionality with a stacking precision damage buff.
Even though Heavy GLs currently hold the heavy slot due to Revenant’s artifact benefits, Linear Fusions aren’t exactly meta at the moment, butyou never know what the future will hold.
Bungie may revive them with the February release of Heretic, but in the meantime, Mistral Lift is a very adaptable tool that still delivers good DPS and is worthwhile to farm if only to prepare for the future.
