Season of the Wishjust launched a few days earlier, and while players seem satisfied with the new seasonal content, there is something even bigger available today, as Bungie dropped Warlord’s Ruin, the latest newdungeon, joiningDestiny 2’s massive playlist of permanent activities.

As always, Bungie likes to keep things a bit mysterious and complicated, as it doesn’t really tell you where the new dungeon is located and why you may’t run it right after its deployment. Well, here we have all you need to do to unlock Warlord’s Ruin and explore the new dungeon with your Fireteam.
Unlocking Warlord’s Ruin Dungeon (Heed The Cairn)
First, you need to know that thenew dungeon takes place in EDZrather than Dreaming City. If you check out the eastern part of EDZ on the map, you will find a new dungeon marker, which is Warlord’s Ruin. However, if you attempt to launch it, you will get a red error bar, telling you that “Quest progress required.” The game refers to it as “Heed the Cairn”, but you don’t have such a quest in your Director, which is why you shouldtake a trip to the Tower.
Meet Ikora Reyat the Tower, and she will have a new quest for you called"In The Shadow Of The Mountain.“As you can see, the name has nothing to do with “Heed the Cairn”, but anyway,this will unlock the dungeon. If you head back to the map now, you will see that you can launch Warlord’s Ruin and start the activity on your own or with a Fireteam.
The new dungeon offers four new weapons, including aSword, aScout Rifle, aBow, and aSidearm. We strongly suggest you grind for all those weapons, especially the bow and the sidearm, as the former is one of the seasonal weapon types to defeat Unstoppable Champions, and the latter is your only option for Anti-Barrier damage.
