AnyDestiny 2player worth their ghost is always after the latest weapons and God Rolls.
Episode 2: Revenant adds some intriguing kit to the loot pool as Bungie has introducedseveral traits we’ve never seen before. If you want to know what’s hot and what’s not, here’s a selection of guns and rolls you don’t want to miss.

Similar to theInto the Light weapons, you may get everything on this list from the Onslaught Playlist in the Last City.
The Icebreaker and Alethonym are technically Revenant weapons, but I’ve not included them because they are Exotics. Ultimately, these guns have fixed rolls, and every player should want them in their arsenal.

5Sovereignty
A Deadly Debuffing Sniper Rifle
Key Information
Weapon Type
Sniper Rifle
Sovereignty is a lethalVoid Sniper Riflewith a fancy new trait that’s got many Guardians excited.
The Sovereignty Sniper Rifle can roll withWithering Gaze, inflicting the Weaken debuff on targets. You must briefly aim down the sights to activate the effect, but it’s an avenue to the debuff we’ve never had before.

Weakening opponents is a big deal inDestiny 2as theytake more damage from all sourceswhile afflicted. Targets are also less likely to fire back, although relying on this is unwise.
You’re spoiled for choice with the other trait, as there are so many decent options. I’m shooting forExplosive Payload, but a grenade-focused build may prefer something like Demolitionist for more grenade energy.

Time will tell if Withering Gaze becomes a game-changer, but it seems decent, and it’s always fun to play with shiny new traits.
4Insurmountable
The Classic Void Combo
The Insurmountable Void Sidearm has an excellent trait pool with a beloved combo up for grabs.
Whenever I see a new Void weapon, I look for the classicRepulsor Brace and Destabilizing Rounds combo. Insurmountable makes the list because it has these traits and so much more.

Repulsor Brace grants you an overshield if you defeat a Void-debuffed target. Destabilizing Rounds applies the Volatile debuff to nearby enemies when you land a final blow.
Like the best Void weapons,Insurmountable has its own contained engineoffering survivability, while the Volatile debuff primes enemies to explode.
While this trait combo is what most players will want, there are plenty of other hard-hitters in the pool, including Demolitionist and Surrounded.
A Phenomenal Kinetic Grenade Launcher
Grenade Launcher
Liturgy is a deadly Stasis Launcher that takes the Kinetic slot, so your Heavy weapon remains free. The Grenade Launcher is incredible for a few reasons, and itsynergizes well with the seasonal Artifact, as most traits are geared toward the Stasis element.
Artifact perks are always a welcome bonus, but the Liturgy has much more up its sleeve. First, it’s aDouble Fire launcher, a rare trait offering twin-fire rounds.
Liturgy also has an impressive trait pool. I’ll be chasingRimestealer and Chill Clip. Rimestealer is another new trait that grants Frost Armor when you break a Stasis Crystal or defeat a frozen target. Chill Clip slows enemies and ties in nicely to Stasis builds.
Rimestealer is great for survivability, but Envious Arsenal is a great backup, and even Slideways is decent if you play into it.
If you’re feeling brave, you could even tacklethe Dungeonswith this thing.
Using Input Macros Can Now Get You Banned In Destiny 2
Avoid getting whacked by the ban hammer.
For An Ice Cold Assassin
Hand Cannon
The Exuviae may have a goofy name, but it’s a punchy Stasis Hand Cannon with a respectable perk pool.
Like Liturgy, theExuviae can roll with Rimestealer, which grants valuable Frost Armor. The Hand Cannon can also roll with theclassic Headstone trait, which spawns a Stasis crystal whenever you defeat an enemy with a precision final blow.
The seasonal artifact synergizes so well with Headstone that it’s hard to recommend anything else. That said,Frenzy and Explosive Payloadare both superb backups and maybe the better choices in the future.
I love chunky Hand Cannons like the Exuviae but beware of its slow reload speed. The weapon has theDark Ether Reaper Origin trait, which can help with reload woes but is inconsistent.
1Bitter/Sweet
Move Over, Edge Transit
The Bitter/Sweet is an immense Arc Grenade Launcher that takes your Heavy weapon slot. Grenade Launchers live and die by their perks, and wow, Bitter/Sweet has a pool to die for.
The Grenade Launcher can roll withEnvious Arsenal, which is a brand-new perk to Destiny 2. Envious Arsenal automatically reloads Bitter/Sweet from reserves, provided you first deal damage with your other weapons.
Auto-loading traits are always extremely strong, but it gets even better!Bitter/Sweet can also roll with Bait and Switch.
If you’ve never used a Bait and Switch Grenade Launcher, you’re in for a treat as the weapon gets a damage boost after dealing damage with your other weapons.
There’s an obvious perk synergy here. Using your Kinetic and Special weapon triggers Envious Arsenal for an instant reload and also activates the damage bonus from Bait and Switch. It’s a lethal combination you don’t want to miss.
A well-rolled Bitter/Sweet is a force to be reckoned with and works pretty well in theVesper’s Host Dungeon.
