Grenade launchers have become one of the main showstoppers inDestiny 2. With a choice for everyone, whether it’s for PvP or PvE, these things come in handy. Here are some of the best grenade launchers you should consider keeping in your arsenal.

Destiny 2 makes players go head-to-head with some of the most chaotic battles seen in an FPS title. Ranging from the strongest boss battles to a plethora of enemies coming at you combined. And to wreak havoc on them, you’re provided with a wide range of grenade launchers, each having a special skill set of its own for you to master.
10Pardon Our Dust
Starting with the legendary grenade launcher Pardon Our Dust, which was released in the Season of the Splicer. This weapon is known for its unique perk, Reservoir Burst, which causes a single shot to explode and release smaller shots dealing damage over a wider blast radius.
While the Pardon Our Dust has a decent ammo capacity and useful perks like Mayhem, Field Prep, and Auto-Loading Holster, its slow fire rate, short firing range, and lack of precision place it lower on the list of preferred grenade launchers for players on their adventures.

9Wilderflight
Wilderflight has to be one of the most unusual yet fun-to-use grenade launchers in the Destiny series to date. Probably because of its double grenade shooting frame. At first, it can require a bit of getting used to, but it can lead to some exciting moments throughout your adventures.

Although it’s not well known for its damage output, its best use mostly lies in PvE situations with perks such as Volatile Launch, Auto Loading Hoister, and Blinding Grenades. While you can certainly use it in PvP battles as well, it won’t be as effective as some of the other options out there and thus gets placed on the lower side of the spectrum for the best grenade launchers available to players.
8Wendigo GL3
The Wendigo GL3 made its mark during the Season of Opulence with its high blast radius and versatility for both PvP and PvE. Perks such as Explosive Light complement the Wendigo GL3 as the perk can be stacked up to six times.
However, the need to collect orbs for the perk activation, coupled with its average reload speed, makes it lose a few points when being considered. And while the Wendigo GL3 was also known for its damage once, the players can have much better options in their arsenal if they want the maximum damage output for some of the endgame bosses.

First seen in theSeason Of Defiance, Regnant, is a legendary grenade launcher known by the Destiny community as a better version of the Wendigo GL3, and rightfully so. The Regnant is a void-type grenade launcher and is known to be a destructive weapon of choice in PvE.
While it has gained some popularity in PvP, perks such as Volatile Launch which gives the player a wider blast radius combined with the Explosive Light perk for additional damage make it a suitable choice for PvE. Additional perks such as Envious Assassin, Auto Loading Holster, and Spiky Grenades make it a good option, but its lack of versatility makes players hesitate when choosing this grenade launcher

6Explosive Personality
If you’re looking for something that strives in both PvP as well as PvE, then the legendary wave frame grenade launcher, Explosive Personality, might catch your attention.
After being introduced during a quest calledThe Witch Queenin Destiny 2, Explosive Personality certainly made waves with its Chain Reaction perk that allows players to deal additional damage to nearby enemies. While its high blast radius makes it an enticing weapon of choice, the short-range as well as a not-so-fast reload speed makes it fall behind the competitors.

While some may argue, on a lighter note, that Parasite isn’t necessarily a grenade launcher as its unique projectiles come in the form of worms. It has infamously become known as the Worm Launcher. Still, the Parasite is an exotic grenade launcher and is widely known in the community for its Worm’s Hunger perk which increases your damage output as well as the blast radius with each kill.
And the fact that players can stack the perk up to twenty times makes it an excellent choice for PvE but once you lose the streak, it’s going to be a rough ride for the PvP battles.

4Harsh Language
Featured in the Season Of Defiance in Destiny 2, Harsh Language is a void-type legendary grenade launcher that made its mark by wiping out a plethora of enemies at once.

The guardians usually go for the Envious Assassin perk to get the rounds rolling in while using other weapons and combining it with the Destabilizing Rounds perk maximizes the volatile effect on the enemies. Although a bit hard to farm, its overall use in battles certainly makes it worth the wait.
3Salvager’s Salvo
If you’re looking to deal some serious damage during your fast-paced boss battles in Destiny 2, then the legendary grenade launcherSalvager’s Salvo, first seen in Season of the Splicer, is a must-have. Whether in PvP or PvE, Salvager’s Salvo manages to shine through with some fan-favorite perks such as the Adaptive Ordinance perk, which allows the user to deal more damage with a higher blast radius after a multi-kill.
While other perks such as Chain Reaction and Ambitious Assassin also complement Salvager’s Salvo, the only thing holding it down is the fact that it’s a precision frame grenade launcher, which makes hitting the enemy a must. Although combined with an average reload speed, Salvager’s Salvo is still an excellent option for players.
2Forbearance
Featured in the Vow of Disciple raid, Forbearance is a legendary wave frame grenade launcher just like the Explosive personality, but on a whole new level. Make use of perks such as Ambitious Assassin which just makes your magazine go beyond its limit, although it does depend on the number of kills the players achieve before reloading.
Combining it with the Chain Reaction and Souldrinker perk that regenerated the guardian’s health based on the kills before reloading makes forbearance the obvious choice for PvE battles. While it also does well in PvP, there may be better options available.
1Witherhoard
Considered by many to be the crown jewel of grenade launchers, Witherhoard is an exotic weapon that shines in both PvE and PvP activities. The Witherhoard was first seen in the Season Of Arrivals with its signature perk, Harvest Time, which deals damage over time to enemies and is a fan favorite. Additionally, unique traits like Break the Bank and Primeval’s Torment allow the user to blight enemies for additional damage.
While the blighting effect can sometimes disrupt vision, the benefits of using Witherhoard far outweigh any potential drawbacks, making it one of the most effective grenade launchers for players looking to wreak havoc on their enemies.
